Handles Tough Conditions This Simpson Strong-Tie SET3G10 epoxy anchoring adhesive is built for dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged holes. That gives you one anchoring adhesive for a wider range of concrete job conditions instead of switching products. High-Strength Bonding Designed for threaded rod and rebar in cracked and uncracked concrete, SET-3G delivers the bond strength needed for demanding anchoring work, including seismic applications where ductile solutions matter. Ready-To-Use Kit Model SET3G10 comes as an 8.5-ounce coaxial cartridge and includes one EMN22i mixing nozzle plus one extension. That means less scrambling for small parts when it is time to install anchors.

Overview

The Simpson Strong-Tie SET3G10 High-Strength Epoxy Adhesive is a two-component anchoring adhesive for installing threaded rod and rebar in concrete. This is an epoxy anchoring adhesive designed for structural anchoring in cracked and uncracked concrete under a wide range of jobsite conditions. Model Number SET3G10 packages the formula in an 8.5-ounce coaxial cartridge and includes one EMN22i mixing nozzle and one extension, so you have the key dispensing pieces right in the box.

What makes this product matter is where it can be used and how much guesswork it removes. SET-3G is specified for dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged conditions, and it is approved for installation in downward, horizontal, upwardly inclined, and overhead orientations. For crews doing retrofit anchoring, rebar doweling, or threaded rod installs, that kind of versatility means fewer work stoppages when site conditions are less than ideal.

The formula is a 1:1 epoxy with a gray mixed color, and it is built for concrete and masonry applications involving cracked and uncracked base materials. Simpson Strong-Tie also calls out improved sustained load performance at elevated temperature, which matters when the anchor design has to hold up beyond just day-one installation. In-service temperature range is rated from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit, so the adhesive is suited for a broad range of environmental exposure conditions after cure.

From an engineering and compliance standpoint, SET-3G is recognized per ICC-ES AC308 for post-installed rebar development and splice length design provisions, and it has been tested in accordance with ICC-ES AC308, ACI 355.4, and applicable ASTM test methods. That is the kind of paperwork and testing background pros want when the anchor is part of a serious structural detail, not just a light-duty attachment.

Jobsite practicality is another strong point. Simpson states the product is approved for installation with multiple vacuum-drill bit systems without further hole cleaning on approved systems, and it can also be installed using a conventional wire brush blow-brush-blow cleaning method. The low-odor formulation is also a plus when you are working indoors or in tighter spaces where strong chemical smell becomes a problem fast.

For installation, base-material temperatures need to be 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Simpson recommends conditioning the adhesive to 70 degrees Fahrenheit to 80 degrees Fahrenheit for best results, and notes that mixed material can harden in the dispensing nozzle within 30 minutes at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. In plain terms, once you start dispensing, keep moving and do not waste time with a partially used nozzle sitting around.

Compatibility is straightforward for this cartridge size. SET3G10 is used with the Simpson Strong-Tie CDT10S dispensing tool and EMN22i mixing nozzle. If you already run Simpson adhesive anchoring gear, that keeps your setup simple. If you are buying in fresh, make sure you are matching the cartridge to the correct dispensing tool instead of assuming all adhesive guns fit all cartridges.

Who should buy this? Concrete contractors, structural retrofit crews, commercial installers, and serious remodelers doing code-driven anchoring work will get the most out of it. If you need a small-format structural epoxy anchoring adhesive for threaded rod or rebar and want one that covers wet and submerged conditions without stepping down in performance, the Simpson Strong-Tie SET3G10 is the kind of cartridge that earns space in the truck.

Built for Real Anchoring Conditions

This is where a structural epoxy anchoring adhesive has to prove itself. SET-3G is made for anchoring threaded rod and rebar into concrete, and it is qualified for cracked and uncracked concrete applications.

• Designed for threaded rod anchor and rebar dowel installations
• Qualified for downward, horizontal, upwardly inclined, and overhead installations
• Suitable for structures assigned to Seismic Design Categories A through F

Works in Wet and Submerged Holes

If you are working in less-than-perfect conditions, this adhesive gives you more flexibility than many standard anchoring products. Simpson specifically states there is no performance difference between water-saturated concrete, water-filled holes, or submerged concrete when correct installation procedures are followed.

• Base material conditions: dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged
• In-service temperature range: -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit
• Approved for potable water use

Small Cartridge, Structural Job

The 8.5-ounce cartridge size makes sense when you need structural-grade anchoring adhesive without stepping up to a larger cartridge system. It is easier to manage for punch-list work, smaller installs, and jobs where waste matters.

• 8.5-ounce coaxial cartridge
• 1:1 epoxy formula with gray mixed color
• Low-odor formulation for more comfortable indoor use
