Key Features

Concrete and Masonry Anchoring This Simpson Strong-Tie ET3G10 epoxy anchoring adhesive is built for setting threaded rod and rebar in cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry. That gives you one adhesive for common anchoring and doweling work instead of juggling multiple products. Works in Tough Conditions It can be installed in dry or water-saturated base materials with a substrate installation temperature range from 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. That makes it practical for real jobsite conditions where concrete is not always perfectly dry. Useful Working Time With a 50-minute gel time at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, you get more time to place anchors accurately before the adhesive sets. That matters on layout-heavy installs, overhead work, and jobs where speed alone is not the priority.

Overview

The Simpson Strong-Tie ET3G10 epoxy anchoring adhesive is an 8.5-ounce two-component epoxy cartridge for anchoring threaded rod and rebar into concrete and masonry. This is an anchoring adhesive designed for doweling and adhesive anchor installation in cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry. Model Number ET3G10. If you need a cartridge-size adhesive for structural anchoring work, this is the format aimed at smaller jobs, punch-list installs, and crews that want cartridge convenience instead of bulk dispensing equipment.

ET-3G uses a 1:1 epoxy mix and is suitable for static and seismic loading conditions based on the manufacturer data. In practical terms, that means it is made for serious anchor installations, not light patch work or generic adhesive duty. It is intended for threaded rod anchoring and rebar doweling, and it is rated for horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications, which matters when the work is not limited to flat slab conditions.

One of the most useful things about this adhesive is where it can be used. The base materials are concrete and masonry, both cracked and uncracked, and the listed base material conditions are dry and water-saturated. That gives the Simpson Strong-Tie ET3G10 epoxy anchoring adhesive a broader working envelope than products that need ideal, dry conditions to perform as intended. For field work, that flexibility can save a trip and keep the install moving.

Working time is another big reason to choose this product. The published gel time is 50 minutes at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, with cure time listed at 24 hours at that same temperature. At 50 degrees Fahrenheit the gel time stretches to 100 minutes and full cure moves to 72 hours. At 110 degrees Fahrenheit the gel time drops to 18 minutes. That kind of schedule matters because it tells you whether this adhesive fits careful anchor placement, rebar doweling, or hotter weather installs where some products start getting away from you too fast.

The cartridge format on ET3G10 is also straightforward. This specific version is the 8.5-ounce single cartridge, and the known package contents include one EMN22i mixing nozzle and one extension. That makes it a more ready-to-run option for single-anchor or lower-volume work, especially when compared with larger cartridge sizes and bulk kits that may require different dispensing gear or separate nozzle purchases.

On the performance side, ET-3G is a non-sag epoxy with 3 grams per liter VOC and a teal mixed color to help verify proper mixing. Manufacturer data also lists a 13,000 psi compressive yield strength after 7-day cure, which helps explain why it is positioned for anchoring work rather than general-purpose bonding. The in-service temperature range of negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 150 degrees Fahrenheit adds confidence once the installation is complete and exposed to seasonal swings.

Jobsite practicality is solid here too. Simpson notes easy hole cleaning with no power brushing required, and the product has a 24-month shelf life when unopened and stored between 45 degrees Fahrenheit and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. For contractors managing van stock or warehouse inventory, that longer shelf life is not a throwaway spec. It means less waste and fewer half-forgotten cartridges that age out before the next job.

Who should buy it? Concrete contractors, general contractors, structural retrofit crews, DOT work crews, and anyone handling adhesive anchoring or rebar doweling in concrete or CMU. Serious DIY users can use it too, but this is clearly a pro-grade anchoring adhesive meant for code-conscious installs and predictable performance. If your work calls for a small cartridge with included nozzle and extension, and you need compatibility with the Simpson Strong-Tie CDT10S dispensing tool, ET3G10 is the practical size to grab.

Built for Real Anchor Installations

This product is made for anchoring work, not general glue duty. If you are setting rebar or threaded rod in concrete and need a product that fits horizontal, vertical, or overhead applications, this is the kind of adhesive you spec on purpose.

• Suitable for static and seismic loading conditions
• Designed for threaded rod anchoring and rebar doweling into concrete and CMU

Handles Dry and Damp Base Materials

Concrete and masonry jobs are rarely perfectly dry. ET-3G is listed for dry and water-saturated base material conditions, which makes it easier to keep work moving when the substrate is less than ideal.

• Base materials: cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry
• Base material conditions: dry and water-saturated

Cartridge Format That Is Ready to Run

The ET3G10 size is the convenient option when you need cartridge control for smaller anchor runs or service work. You get the 8.5-ounce cartridge plus the included mixing nozzle and extension, so you are not chasing basic pieces before you start.

• 8.5 fl oz single cartridge format

Pro Tip

Pay attention to base material temperature before you start. ET-3G gives you a long 50-minute gel time at 70F, but once conditions climb, that window shrinks fast, so stage your rod or rebar and hole prep first instead of mixing and then scrambling.
