Built for Cracked Concrete This Simpson Strong-Tie ET3G22-N epoxy anchoring adhesive is rated for cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry under static and seismic loading. That matters when you need an adhesive anchor you can trust for real structural repair and anchoring work. Long Working Time At 70 degrees Fahrenheit, ET-3G gives about 50 minutes of gel time. That gives you more room to place threaded rod or rebar cleanly before the material starts to set. Ready to Dispense The 22 ounce side-by-side cartridge includes one EMN22i mixing nozzle and one extension. You get the cartridge format most installers want for jobsite anchoring without having to piece together the basics.

Overview

The Simpson Strong-Tie ET3G22-N epoxy anchoring adhesive cartridge is a 22 ounce, two-component, high-solids epoxy anchoring adhesive for fastening threaded rod and rebar into concrete and masonry. This is an anchoring adhesive designed for structural anchoring, doweling, and rebar installation in cracked and uncracked base materials. Model Number: ET3G22-N.

What separates this product from a basic adhesive is where it can be used and the conditions it is built for. ET-3G is suitable for dry and water-saturated concrete, and it is rated for static and seismic loading conditions in cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry. If you are setting threaded rod, installing dowels, or anchoring rebar where code-driven performance matters, those details are the whole story, not just extra specs.

The 1:1 epoxy formula is made for controlled installation through a side-by-side cartridge and static mixing nozzle. Mixed color is teal, which gives installers a quick visual check that the material is blending properly as it dispenses. The non-sag consistency also matters in the field because it helps the adhesive stay where it belongs for horizontal, vertical, and overhead applications instead of slumping out of the hole.

Working time is one of the more practical advantages here. At 70 degrees Fahrenheit, gel time is 50 minutes, which gives you enough open time to clean the hole, dispense properly, and set rod or bar without racing the clock. Cure time at that temperature is 24 hours, while colder base materials extend cure time significantly. On water-saturated concrete, cure times must be doubled, which is worth planning for before you start a job with inspection or load deadlines.

For jobsite conditions, ET-3G has a substrate installation temperature range of 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit and an in-service temperature range of minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Storage temperature is 45 degrees Fahrenheit to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and unopened cartridges carry a 24 month shelf life when stored in that range. That long shelf life is useful for contractors who keep anchoring materials on hand for maintenance, repair, punch-list work, and scheduled installs.

This cartridge version is sized for dispensing with Simpson Strong-Tie EDT22S, EDTA22P, or EDTA22CKT tools, and it includes one EMN22i mixing nozzle plus one extension. That makes it a practical choice for installers who want cartridge convenience instead of stepping up to bulk kits and metered dispensing equipment. Simpson specifically calls for using only its approved mixing nozzles, which is not a throwaway note. With adhesive anchors, the right nozzle and correct mix are part of the system.

In terms of tested performance, ET-3G has been evaluated to ICC-ES AC308, AC58, ACI 355.4, and applicable ASTM methods. Typical properties include 13,000 psi compressive yield strength after 7 days, 2,600 psi slant shear bond strength for hardened-to-hardened concrete at 2 days, and 2,900 psi at 14 days. Those numbers matter because they tell you this is not a general-purpose construction adhesive pretending to do anchor work. It is purpose-built anchoring epoxy.

This product makes the most sense for concrete contractors, structural repair crews, commercial installers, DOT-related work, and serious remodelers who need a dependable concrete and masonry anchoring adhesive for threaded rod or rebar. If your job involves adhesive anchoring in concrete, masonry, or CMU and you want a cartridge system with long working time and cracked concrete capability, this is the right kind of product to be looking at.
