Overview

The QEP 10630 24-in. Professional Tile Cutter is a manual score-and-snap cutter for tile setters, remodelers and DIYers. This is a manual tile cutter designed for straight and diagonal cuts in ceramic and porcelain tile. Model Number: 10630.

It cuts tile up to 24 in. long, 17-1/2 in. on the diagonal and up to 1/2 in. thick. That covers most wall and floor tile, including larger formats, without water, dust or a power cord.

The scoring wheel is a replaceable 7/8 in. tungsten carbide wheel with titanium coating, mounted on a ball bearing. The cutting head rides a ball bearing slide on chrome-plated steel rails for a smooth, even score line.

Side arm extensions support large-format tile, and the rip and angle guide makes repeat cuts fast. A non-slip handle grip and adjustable wheel round it out. Assembled weight is about 17.5 lb and it measures about 33 x 8 in.

Buy it if you set ceramic or porcelain and want fast, clean straight cuts without dragging out a wet saw.

Straight Cuts Without the Wet Saw

The QEP 10630 handles the bulk of straight tile cuts quietly and fast.

• Who it's for: Tile setters and remodelers cutting ceramic and porcelain up to 24 in.
• Why it stands out: Ball bearing slide, replaceable carbide wheel and large-format support arms.
• Worth knowing: Score-and-snap only. Notches, L-cuts and thick stone still need a wet saw.
