Overview

The Milwaukee 48-59-2013 REDLITHIUM USB Charger & Portable Power Source Kit is a compact charger and portable power source built for Milwaukee REDLITHIUM USB users who want one setup that both recharges their battery and gives them backup power for personal electronics. This is a USB battery charger and portable power source designed for charging REDLITHIUM USB batteries and powering small USB devices on and off the jobsite. Model Number: 48-59-2013.

What makes this kit useful is that it solves two common problems at once. First, it gives you a dedicated way to recharge a Milwaukee REDLITHIUM USB battery through a USB-C connection. Second, it doubles as a portable power bank with a 2.1A USB output for charging a mobile phone, tablet, or wireless headphones. If you already rely on Milwaukee USB rechargeable lighting or personal task gear, that kind of flexibility is a lot more practical than carrying separate charging accessories.

Milwaukee calls out a 3X faster charge time with its 2.1A charge rate, and that is the spec that matters most here. Faster charging means less downtime between uses, especially if this battery supports gear you keep in a pocket, tool bag, or truck every day. Milwaukee also states the REDLITHIUM USB battery delivers 2X more capacity than three AAA alkaline batteries, which makes the included battery a meaningful part of the kit rather than just a throw-in.

The design is straightforward and jobsite-friendly. The charger body is compact, plastic, and easy to throw in a bag, drawer, or glove box. At roughly 3.88 inches long and under half a pound, it is small enough to live with your everyday carry equipment instead of getting left behind. The LED fuel gauge is another practical detail because it gives you a quick read on battery status without guessing whether your battery is ready for the next shift.

This kit also fits neatly into Milwaukee's REDLITHIUM USB platform. If you already own Milwaukee USB rechargeable products, compatibility is the real selling point. You are not buying a one-off charger that only works in isolation. You are buying into a small, portable battery system that can support multiple Milwaukee USB rechargeable tools and accessories, while also giving you emergency charging for personal electronics when needed.

Who should buy it? Anyone already on the Milwaukee REDLITHIUM USB platform will get the most value here, especially techs, inspectors, electricians, maintenance crews, and serious DIY users who depend on compact rechargeable lighting or personal work gear. It is also a smart pickup if you want a spare battery and a dedicated charger that can pull double duty as a jobsite-friendly power bank. If you do not own Milwaukee REDLITHIUM USB products yet, the value depends on whether you plan to use that platform. If you do, this is an easy kit to justify.
