Fuel Gauge Onboard The built-in fuel gauge shows remaining run time at a glance, so you can swap batteries before climbing a ladder or stopping mid-cut.

Overview

The Milwaukee 48-11-1865 M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 Battery Pack is a 18V lithium-ion battery made for Milwaukee's M18 cordless platform. This is a battery pack designed for powering M18 cordless tools in demanding jobsite applications. Model Number: 48-11-1865. If you run impact wrenches, saws, grinders, or other higher-draw tools and want stronger performance than a standard XC pack, this is the battery that makes sense.

What sets this pack apart is the balance of output, size, and run time. Milwaukee rates it for 50% more power and 50% cooler operation versus standard M18 REDLITHIUM XC battery packs. In real use, that means better performance under load and less drop-off when the tool is pushed hard. It is built to deliver fade-free power, so the tool stays productive deeper into the charge instead of feeling strong at the start and weak near the end.

The XC6.0 format is a practical middle ground for a lot of users. You get 6.0 amp hours of capacity without stepping up to a bigger, heavier pack than you need for everyday service work or production use. At about 2.535 lbs, it adds enough battery to support longer run time without becoming awkward on tools that are already carried, lifted, or used overhead.

Milwaukee also built this pack for rough conditions. REDLINK Intelligence manages communication between the tool, battery, and charger to help optimize performance and provide overload protection. The onboard fuel gauge keeps remaining run time visible, which is one of those small features that saves real downtime on the job. The battery is also designed to keep working in extreme cold weather conditions below 0F / -18C, which matters for outdoor crews and winter work.

For users already on the M18 platform, compatibility is the big reason this battery matters. It works with Milwaukee M18 tools and is positioned as a strong option across the lineup, especially where higher output helps replace corded tools. Milwaukee also lists recharge times of 35 minutes on a Super Charger, 64 minutes on a Rapid Charger, and 119 minutes on a Standard Charger, so you can match charging speed to how your crew works.

This battery is a good fit for contractors, service pros, mechanics, installers, remodelers, and serious DIY users who already own M18 cordless tools and want a better power source for heavier applications. If your current battery packs are fine on light drilling but start to feel limited on bigger fastening, cutting, or grinding jobs, the Milwaukee 48-11-1865 M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 Battery Pack is the upgrade that actually changes tool performance.
