50% More Power DeWALT rates this 20V MAX XR battery at 50% more power than its standard 8Ah pack, so saws, grinders, and impact wrenches hold up better under load. Longer Service Life Tabless cell technology is built for a longer lifespan than traditional cylindrical-cell batteries, so the pack stays in rotation longer. Built for the Jobsite An overmolded base adds impact resistance, and the LED state-of-charge indicator shows remaining power before you start a long cut.

Overview

The DeWALT DCB2108 20V MAX XR POWERPACK 8.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery is a high-capacity cordless tool battery for contractors and serious DIYers who need more output and longer runtime from their DeWALT tools. This is a power tool battery designed for powering DeWALT 20V MAX cordless tools in demanding cutting, grinding, and fastening work. Model Number DCB2108.

POWERPACK is DeWALT's best performing line of 20V MAX batteries, and the DCB2108 is the 8.0Ah member of it. DeWALT rates it at 50% more power than the DCB208 20V MAX 8.0Ah battery. In practical terms, that means a circular saw keeps its speed deeper into a rip, a grinder bogs less under pressure, and an impact wrench has more available power when a fastener fights back.

The difference is the cell design. The DCB2108 is engineered with tabless cell technology. DeWALT says that design delivers both the extra power and a longer lifespan than traditional cylindrical batteries, measured in charge cycles. For anyone who runs packs every day, a battery that lasts more cycles means more years before replacement.

The housing is built for real use. A durable overmolded base gives the pack a high level of impact resistance when it gets set down on concrete, slid across a truck bed, or knocked around in a gang box. The LED state-of-charge indicator gives quick visibility to remaining power, so you can check it before climbing a ladder or heading to the far end of a property with a blower or trimmer.

The pack weighs 2.2 lbs, a reasonable trade for 8.0Ah of capacity and the added output. It is a natural fit for high-draw tools like circular saws, grinders, impact wrenches, vacuums, chainsaws, and blowers, where a compact pack runs out of steam early.

System fit is simple. The DCB2108 is compatible with DeWALT 20V MAX tools and chargers, so it drops into the tools and chargers you already own with no adapters.

Who should buy it? Contractors, remodelers, maintenance crews, landscapers, and homeowners with a real DeWALT cordless lineup who push their tools hard. If you mostly drive screws with a compact drill, a smaller pack keeps the tool lighter. If you run saws and grinders and want more power and runtime, this is the pack to reach for first.

Power for High-Draw Tools

Tools that pull hard drain ordinary packs fast and lose speed as the cells sag. The DCB2108 is built to keep more power available when the load climbs.

• 50% more power than the DCB208 8.0Ah battery
• 8.0Ah capacity for long work sessions

Made to Take a Beating
