Key Features

Square Small Parts The Woodpeckers Clamping Squares Plus Mini kit is built for small boxes, case parts, and tight inside corners where full-size assembly squares are just too big. Short 3 inch legs let you keep parts aligned without fighting for space. Ready to Clamp This kit pairs the mini squares with CSP clamps, so you can go straight from layout to glue-up. That saves setup time and makes repeatable small assembly work a lot less fussy. Works With Common Clamps If you already have F-style or C-style clamps in the shop, these mini clamping squares still fit your workflow. That gives you more ways to hold odd parts and work around tight cabinet openings.

Overview

Woodpeckers CSP-M-CK-4 Clamping Squares Plus Mini 12 Piece Kit is a compact clamping square set made for small-scale glue-ups and precise case assembly. This is a clamping square kit designed for keeping small boxes, drawer parts, and cabinet openings aligned at 90 degrees during assembly. Model Number: CSP-M-CK-4. If you build jewelry boxes, gift boxes, small drawers, or detailed casework, this is the size that actually fits the job instead of getting in the way.

The big deal here is scale. Woodpeckers took the same basic idea as their larger Clamping Squares Plus and shrunk it down for work where standard squares are oversized. With 3 inch legs, the mini clamping squares can control assemblies that would be awkward with bigger setup tools. Woodpeckers also states they work on boxes as small as 3-1/2 inches by 3-1/2 inches, which tells you right away this kit is aimed at precision bench work, not rough carpentry.

In practical use, that smaller footprint matters more than it sounds. When you are assembling a small box, there is not much room for clamps, glue squeeze-out, your hands, and a square all at once. These mini squares help you hold the corner true without covering the whole workpiece. They are also useful inside larger projects when the opening is too tight for a larger square, such as drawer openings in cabinets or narrow shelf compartments.

This specific CSP-M-CK-4 version is the kit configuration, which makes sense for anyone who wants a complete assembly setup instead of piecing it together later. The kit includes four Clamping Squares Plus Mini squares and eight CSP clamps for a 12-piece setup. That gives you enough hardware to control multiple corners at once, which is exactly what you want when glue is setting and you do not have time to improvise.

Another strong point is clamp flexibility. Woodpeckers shows these mini squares working not only with the included CSP clamps, but also with typical F-style and C-style clamps. That matters in a real shop because it means the kit does not force you into one clamping method. Use the CSP clamps for a clean, compact setup, or grab your existing clamps when the part shape or access calls for something different.

For woodworkers who care about fit-up, these are the kind of shop aids that earn drawer space fast. They are especially useful for box making, small casework, cabinetry details, and any assembly where keeping parts square during glue-up is the whole game. If your work is mostly small parts and careful joinery, the Woodpeckers CSP-M-CK-4 Clamping Squares Plus Mini 12 Piece Kit is a much better match than trying to make full-size assembly squares do precision work they were never sized for.

Built for Tight Glue-Ups

Small boxes are where oversized clamping aids become a headache. These mini assembly squares keep corners at 90 degrees without taking over the whole work area.

• 3 inch legs fit compact box assemblies and short parts
• Designed for small woodworking projects like jewelry and gift boxes
• Keeps clamp pressure directed where it helps instead of crowding the joint

Useful Beyond Small Boxes

The mini size is not just for tiny projects. It is also handy inside larger casework where a regular square will not fit into the opening.

• Good for drawer openings and narrow cabinet compartments
• Lets you square inside corners on larger assemblies
• Helps control alignment where access is limited

Works With More Than One Clamping Setup

You are not locked into a single clamp style. That gives you more flexibility when part size, access, or shop setup changes from job to job.

Pro Tip

On small box glue-ups, use all four mini squares so every corner is controlled before you bring the clamps to full pressure. It is a simple way to keep one corner from drifting out while you tighten the opposite side.

Woodpeckers Clamping Squares Plus Mini kit that actually fits the work

The Woodpeckers CSP-M-CK-4 Clamping Squares Plus Mini 12 Piece Kit solves a real shop problem: full-size assembly squares are overkill when the project is small and the tolerances are not.

• Who it's for: Woodworkers building jewelry boxes, gift boxes, drawers, and detailed cabinet parts that need accurate 90 degree assembly.
• Why it stands out: The 3 inch mini format is the whole story here. It gives you better access on small work, and the included CSP clamps make it a ready-to-use setup instead of a parts hunt.
• Worth knowing: This is a specialty clamping square kit for precision bench work, not a general framing square substitute. If your projects are small, that specialization is exactly why it works so well.
