Key Features

Bits and Sockets, One Ratchet The Zyklop Mini bit ratchet drives 1/4" hex bits directly and 1/4" sockets through the included adapter, so this compact bit and socket set covers screws and small nuts and bolts from one handle. Bits That Don't Snap All 28 bits use Wera's BiTorsion design, with a torsion zone that absorbs peak loads so the bit flexes instead of breaking early. Everything Locks in Place Green locking components hold every tool in the compact holder, so nothing rattles loose in a bag, tool roll, or service vehicle.

Overview

The Wera Tool-Check Plus 1, 39-Pieces is a very compact bit, socket, and ratchet set for manual and machine use. This is a portable driver bit and socket set designed for mobile service work, maintenance, installation, and general fastening where a full socket set is too much to carry. Model Number 05049055001 includes a 1/4" bit ratchet, a bitholding screwdriver, a quick-release bit holder for drill/drivers, 28 bits, seven metric sockets, and an adapter, all in one compact holder.

The heart of the set is the Zyklop Mini 1 bit ratchet. It is drop-forged from solid steel, accepts 1/4" hex bits directly, and has a fine 6-degree return angle, so you can keep turning a fastener with very little swing room. Add the included 1/4" hex to 1/4" square adapter and the same ratchet drives the seven Zyklop 1/4" sockets. That combination handles screws, bolts, and nuts in places where a screwdriver can't turn and a standard ratchet won't fit.

For screws that need speed or reach instead of leverage, the Kraftform bitholding screwdriver takes any bit in the set. It is the same handle as the Wera 813 bitholding screwdriver, shaped for a comfortable, controlled grip. For power driving, the Rapidaptor universal bit holder chucks into a drill/driver and releases bits with a quick pull, which makes the same bit set useful with a cordless tool.

The 28 bits cover the fasteners you run into most. You get six Phillips bits (two #1, three #2, one #3), five Pozidriv bits (one #1, three #2, one #3), six TORX bits from T10 to T40, five tamper-resistant TORX bits with a center bore hole from T10 to T30, one slotted bit, and five hex bits from 3 mm to 8 mm. Every bit uses BiTorsion construction for longer life and Wera's Take it easy tool finder, with color coding by profile and size stamping so you grab the right bit without squinting at the tip.

The seven Zyklop 1/4" sockets run 5.5 mm through 13 mm, color coded by size. They use Wera's Hex-Plus profile, which grips the flats of the fastener rather than the corners, reducing the chance of rounding off a tight nut or bolt head. The holder itself is magnetic, has a non-roll shape, and is compact enough to drop in a bag or glovebox.

Wera builds several kits in this footprint, and the Wera Tool-Check line includes versions with different bit and socket mixes. This Tool-Check Plus 1 is the metric version; the Wera Tool-Check Plus Imperial 1 is the version built for inch-sized fasteners.

Who should buy it? Field service techs, electricians, HVAC techs, maintenance staff, mechanics, and anyone assembling or repairing equipment away from the bench. It is also an easy upgrade for a vehicle or home kit, replacing a loose handful of bits and a cheap driver with one organized, high-quality set.

A Full Kit That Fits in One Hand

Thirty-nine pieces lock into one compact holder that goes wherever the job is, from a service call to a machine on the shop floor.

• Green locking components secure every tool
• Magnetic, non-roll holder

Drive Bits Where a Screwdriver Can't Turn

The Zyklop Mini bit ratchet is short enough to fit where a screwdriver handle won't, and its fine return angle keeps the fastener turning with very little swing.

• 6-degree return angle
• Drop-forged solid steel design

Sockets Without a Second Ratchet

Snap the hex-to-square adapter into the bit ratchet and it becomes a 1/4" drive socket ratchet for small nuts and bolts.

• Seven 1/4" drive sockets, 5.5 mm to 13 mm
• Hex-Plus profile helps prevent rounding

Find the Right Bit at a Glance

Color bands by profile and stamped sizes let you pull the right bit on the first try, and the BiTorsion zone keeps it working longer under impact and high torque.

• Take it easy tool finder color coding
• 28 BiTorsion bits in Phillips, Pozidriv, TORX, slotted, and hex

Pro Tip

Use the bitholding screwdriver to run a screw down fast, then switch to the bit ratchet with the same bit for the final turns. You get speed from the screwdriver and torque from the ratchet without changing bits.

The Wera Tool-Check Plus 1, 39-Pieces Is the Kit That Lives in the Bag

It is small enough to carry every day and complete enough that you rarely need to go back to the truck.

• Who it's for: Service techs, maintenance crews, and anyone who wants a high-quality bit, socket, and ratchet kit that fits in a tool bag or glovebox.
• Why it stands out: A fine-tooth bit ratchet that also drives sockets, BiTorsion bits, Hex-Plus sockets, and a quick-release holder for a drill/driver, all locked into one holder.
• Worth knowing: The sockets are metric and top out at 13 mm. If you work mostly on inch fasteners, the Imperial version is the better fit.

Common Questions

• Can the ratchet use sockets? Yes. The included 870/1 adapter converts the 1/4" hex bit ratchet to drive 1/4" square sockets.
• Are the sockets metric or SAE? Metric: 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13 mm.
• Can I use the bits in a drill/driver? Yes. The Rapidaptor universal bit holder chucks into a drill/driver and holds the same 1/4" hex bits.
