Overview

The Tajima PLC2-B300 Chalk-Rite Ultra-Fine Chalk is a blue snap-line chalk refill made for chalk boxes and layout work. This is a snap-line chalk refill designed for marking layout lines in carpentry and general construction. Model Number: PLC2-B300. If you want a chalk that lays down a crisp line without clumping up your box, this is the kind of refill that makes a difference fast.

What matters here is the chalk itself. Tajima calls it ultra-fine, and that finer particle size is there for a reason. It coats the line evenly and thoroughly, which helps produce a bold, uniform snap line instead of a weak mark that disappears in spots. For anyone doing framing, trim layout, general carpentry, or rough positioning work, that means less second-guessing and fewer re-snaps.

This blue marking chalk is also described as fade resistant, which is useful when the line needs to stay visible long enough to finish the cut, set the run, or transfer measurements across a work surface. It is built for clear, sharp marking, not just filling a bottle cheap. That is the difference between a refill that simply works and one that actually helps your layout stay readable.

The bottle design is practical too. The easy-fill nozzle is there to make refilling your chalk box quicker and cleaner, with less spilling around the fill port. On a busy site or in a shop, that saves time and keeps chalk where you need it instead of all over the bench or truck bin.

At 10.5 ounces, this size makes sense for tradespeople and serious DIY users who want enough material for regular use without hauling around a larger bulk bottle. It is a straightforward refill product, but it is aimed at people who care about line quality, consistency, and clean handling.

The best fit for this Tajima chalk refill is anyone using a chalk line for carpentry and marking-out work who wants a reliable blue line with even coverage. Finish carpenters, general contractors, remodelers, and layout-focused trades will get the most out of it. If your chalk line is only as good as the mark it leaves, the Tajima PLC2-B300 Chalk-Rite Ultra-Fine Chalk is the part of the system that does the real work.
