Key Features

Fast Cutting Teeth The 9 teeth per inch blade is built for general wood cutting, trimming, and pruning. That tooth pattern gives you a solid mix of speed and control instead of forcing you to choose one or the other. Folding Hand Saw The folding handle protects the blade when the saw is not in use and makes it easier to toss in a tool bag without snagging everything around it. The elastomer grip also helps it stay comfortable during repeated cuts. Replaceable Blade System The Tajima GK-G210 G-Saw 210 works with Tajima GKB replacement blades, so you can keep the handle in service and swap the cutting edge when needed. That is a practical setup for users who actually put a hand saw to work.

Overview

The Tajima GK-G210 G-Saw 210 is a folding Japanese-style hand saw built for wood cutting, trimming, and pruning. This is a folding hand saw designed for general-purpose cutting in wood and similar jobsite or yard tasks. Model Number GK-G210. If you want a pull saw that stores safely, carries easily, and cuts cleaner than a typical rough hand saw, this is the lane this tool lives in.

The blade measures 8-1/4" (210 mm), and uses a 9 teeth per inch pattern with a 1/8" (3.0 mm) tooth pitch. In real use, that puts it in a useful middle ground for contractors and serious DIY users who need one saw that can handle common trim work, small stock, light pruning, and general wood cutting without feeling too coarse or too fine. The 0.028" (0.7 mm) blade thickness and 1/16" (1.0 mm) kerf help it track efficiently through the cut while keeping resistance manageable.

Tajima calls this a multi-purpose blade, and the spec sheet supports that. The triple-edge tooth design is there for faster, more efficient cutting, and the tapered blade profile helps the saw move through material without binding as easily. That matters when you are making repeated pull cuts by hand and do not want the saw to fight you halfway through the workpiece.

The folding handle is a big part of why this saw makes sense in a real tool kit. You get safer storage, easier transport, and less chance of chewing up other gear in the bag. The handle also uses an elastomer grip, which is a practical upgrade over hard slick plastic when your hands are sweaty, dusty, or you are wearing gloves. It is a small detail, but on a hand tool, grip comfort is not a small thing.

This Tajima hand saw is also lockable, which gives the blade a more secure working position when opened. For anyone using it on ladders, around finish materials, or in tight spaces, that added control matters. It is not just about convenience. It is about making a folding saw feel more like a serious cutting tool and less like a pocket saw compromise.

Another strong point is serviceability. The saw is designed to use Tajima GKB replacement blades, so the platform does not become disposable when the original blade is worn out. If you like the handle and the way the saw cuts, you can keep the tool in rotation and replace the blade instead of replacing the whole unit. That is the kind of detail working users pay attention to.

Who is this for? Carpenters, remodelers, general contractors, woodworkers, and homeowners who want a compact wood-cutting saw that travels well and cuts with more precision than a basic hardware-store hand saw. It also makes sense for pruning and property maintenance where a folding saw is easier to carry than a fixed-blade saw. If you need a compact manual saw for clean, controlled wood cutting and you want a replaceable blade system, this one checks the right boxes.

Compact Storage, Ready to Work

A folding saw only earns its keep if it is easy to carry and still feels solid when opened. This one does both. The design makes it practical for tool bags, truck storage, and punch-list work where a full-size fixed-blade saw is more awkward than helpful.

• 8.3 inch blade size keeps the saw compact without giving up useful cutting reach
• Lockable folding handle helps the saw feel more secure in use
• Elastomer grip adds comfort and control during repeated pull cuts

Clean, Efficient Pull Cuts

The tooth geometry is what gives this saw its character. Instead of just dragging a blade through wood, the triple-edge teeth are set up to bite quickly and keep moving, which helps you get through trim stock, small branches, and general wood cuts with less wasted effort.

• 9 teeth per inch balances cut speed with control
• 1/8" (3.0 mm) tooth pitch supports multi-purpose wood cutting
• Tapered blade profile helps reduce drag through the cut

Keep the Tajima GK-G210 G-Saw 210 in Service

A replaceable blade setup matters more than people think on a hand saw. If you use the tool often, being able to swap in a new blade instead of replacing the whole saw is a better long-term buy and keeps a familiar handle in your hand.

• Compatible with Tajima GKB replacement blades
• Designed for contractor use in trimming and pruning applications
• Useful for users who want one compact saw they can maintain over time

Pro Tip

If you are using the Tajima GK-G210 G-Saw 210 for trim work and light pruning, keep a fresh GKB replacement blade on hand instead of pushing a dull one too long. On a pull saw, a sharp blade is the difference between clean tracking and fighting the cut.
