Handles Wet Conditions This adhesive is built for dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged concrete conditions. That gives you more flexibility on real jobs where perfectly dry holes are not always an option. Made for Anchoring The Simpson Strong-Tie SET3G22-N SET-3G 22 oz Anchoring Adhesive is designed for threaded rod and rebar in cracked and uncracked concrete. That matters when you need a code-listed anchoring adhesive for structural work, not a general-purpose epoxy. High-Seismic Ready SET-3G is recognized for post-installed rebar development and splice length design provisions and is qualified for structures in Seismic Design Categories A through F. In plain terms, it is built for demanding anchoring work where bond strength matters.

Overview

The Simpson Strong-Tie SET3G22-N SET-3G 22 oz Anchoring Adhesive is a two-component 1:1 epoxy anchoring adhesive for installing threaded rod and rebar into concrete and masonry. This is an anchoring adhesive designed for structural anchoring and rebar installation in cracked and uncracked concrete. Model Number: SET3G22-N. If you need a structural epoxy for fastening into concrete under a wide range of jobsite conditions, this is the kind of product you buy because it is purpose-built for anchoring, not patching or light-duty bonding.

What sets SET-3G apart is how broad its working range is. Simpson Strong-Tie rates it for dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and even submerged concrete conditions, with in-service temperatures from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. That gives contractors more flexibility when site conditions are messy, cold, wet, or hard to control. It is also recognized per ICC-ES AC308 for post-installed rebar development and splice length design provisions, so it is aimed squarely at engineered anchoring applications where code compliance and predictable bond performance are part of the job.

The 22 oz side-by-side cartridge format is a practical middle ground for field work. It gives you more material than a small cartridge without jumping all the way to the larger 56 oz size that usually makes more sense for higher-volume work. Each cartridge includes one EMN22i mixing nozzle and one extension, which helps get material where it needs to go in deeper holes and tighter access points. Proper mixing matters with anchoring epoxy, and Simpson specifically calls for using its approved mixing nozzles to maintain performance.

SET-3G is designed for threaded rod anchor and rebar dowel installations in cracked and uncracked concrete under a wide variety of environmental conditions. It can be installed in downward, horizontal, and upwardly inclined orientations, including overhead work. That makes it useful for everything from retrofit anchoring and holdown installs to rebar doweling and general structural fastening where access is not always ideal.

On the performance side, Simpson Strong-Tie positions SET-3G for superior bond strength at elevated temperatures and better sustained load performance. That is a big deal on jobs where anchors stay loaded long term or where the assembly may see higher service temperatures. It is also a low-odor formulation, which is a nice real-world benefit when you are working indoors, in occupied spaces, or in confined areas where strong chemical smell gets old fast.

Jobsite practicality is another strong point. SET-3G is approved for installation with multiple vacuum-drill bit systems without further hole cleaning in approved applications, and it also supports conventional wire brush hole cleaning for standard anchoring workflows. If your crew already has an established hole prep process, that flexibility helps. Just keep an eye on temperature: base-material installation temperature needs to be 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and mixed material can harden in the nozzle in about 30 minutes at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so you do not want to leave a used nozzle sitting around and expect it to stay open.

Compatibility is straightforward. The SET3G22-N cartridge works with Simpson Strong-Tie EDT22S, EDTA22P, and EDTA22CKT dispensing tools and uses the EMN22i mixing nozzle. That matters because structural anchoring products are only as reliable as the full installation system. Using the correct dispensing tool and nozzle is part of getting the mix right and meeting the product's intended performance.

This anchoring adhesive makes the most sense for concrete contractors, general contractors, structural retrofit crews, masons, and serious remodelers doing engineered anchoring work. If you are setting threaded rod, installing rebar dowels, or working on jobs where wet holes, overhead placement, or seismic requirements are in play, the Simpson Strong-Tie SET3G22-N SET-3G 22 oz Anchoring Adhesive is built for that kind of work.

Built for Real Concrete Conditions

This is the kind of concrete anchoring adhesive meant for field conditions, not perfect lab conditions. It is designed for threaded rod and rebar installs where consistent bond performance matters.

• For cracked and uncracked concrete and masonry
• Works in downward, horizontal, upwardly inclined, and overhead installations
• Low-odor 1:1 epoxy formula with gray mixed color for visual confirmation

Keeps Working When the Hole Is Wet

Wet holes are where a product like this earns its keep. SET-3G can be used in dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged concrete when installed correctly, which helps on renovation, repair, and exterior jobs where moisture is part of the deal.

• Base material conditions: dry, water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged
• In-service temperature range from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 176 degrees Fahrenheit
• For water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged concrete, cure times should be doubled

Fits Structural Retrofit Work

When you are setting anchors for holdowns, rebar dowels, or retrofit connections, you want an epoxy that is actually intended for structural anchoring. SET-3G is qualified for demanding use, including high seismic applications.

• Qualified for structures assigned to Seismic Design Categories A through F
• Recognized per ICC-ES AC308 for post-installed rebar development and splice length design
• Approved for threaded rod anchor and rebar dowel installations

Pro Tip

If you are installing in concrete below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, warm the cartridge to at least 70 degrees before use so it mixes and flows the way it should. Also plan for longer cure times in wet holes, because Simpson says cure times should be doubled for water-saturated, water-filled, and submerged concrete.
