Four Packs, One Box This Milwaukee M18 battery 4-pack gives you four 5.0Ah XC packs, enough to keep a drill, impact driver, and saw running with a spare on the charger. More Run-Time Per Pack Milwaukee rates the XC5.0 for 66% more run-time than its XC3.0 pack, so you swap batteries less often on drilling, fastening, and cutting work. Know What's Left An onboard fuel gauge on every pack shows remaining charge, so you can grab a full one before you climb the ladder instead of after the tool quits.

Overview

The Milwaukee M18 Redlithium XC 5.0Ah Extended Capacity Battery, 4-Pack is a set of four 18V lithium-ion battery packs for Milwaukee M18 cordless tools. This is a cordless tool battery set designed for crews and contractors who run several M18 tools at once and need steady run-time all day. Model Number 48-11-1852-2X packages two 48-11-1852 two-packs, for a total of four 48-11-1850 XC5.0 packs.

The XC5.0 is the pack a lot of M18 users settle on for everyday work. Milwaukee rates it for up to 2.5X more run-time, 20% more power, and 2X more recharges than standard lithium-ion batteries, and 66% more run-time than the M18 XC3.0. In practice, a 5.0Ah pack carries an impact driver through a full morning of fastening or a circular saw through a long run of rips without the constant swap you get from compact packs.

REDLINK Intelligence is the electronics that make the pack more than a box of cells. The battery, tool, and charger communicate to optimize performance and protect against overload. Integrated temperature management, individual cell monitoring, and discharge protection help keep the cells healthy over hundreds of charge cycles, which is where the long-term value of a battery actually shows up.

The construction is built for the jobsite. A rubber overmold protects the pack when it gets dropped, and a water protection barrier routes water away from the electronics and out of the pack. Milwaukee also rates the XC5.0 to operate in climates below 0F (-18C), which matters for framing crews, roofers, and anyone loading tools out of an unheated truck in January.

Four packs changes how you work. One battery in the drill, one in the impact, one in the saw, and one on the charger means nobody waits on power. Pair the set with a multi-bay charger like the Milwaukee M18 & M12 Rapid Charge Station and the rotation keeps itself going. Milwaukee lists a full recharge at about 60 minutes on a Rapid Charger or Super Charger and about 105 minutes on a standard charger.

Every pack fits the full M18 platform, from drills and impact drivers to grinders, reciprocating saws, lights, and jobsite radios. If you already own a stack of M18 tools, this set is the simplest way to add run-time across all of them at once, or to replace aging packs that no longer hold a full charge.

Who should buy it? Electricians, plumbers, carpenters, remodelers, maintenance techs, and small crews that run multiple Milwaukee M18 tools at the same time. If you need maximum output for high-draw tools like big grinders or large-diameter saws, Milwaukee's HIGH OUTPUT packs are the better match. For everyday drilling, fastening, and cutting, four XC5.0 packs is the practical working set.

Enough Batteries for the Whole Crew

Four matching packs means one battery size across every tool on the truck. No hunting for the right pack, no tools sitting idle while a single battery charges.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

The Milwaukee M18 Redlithium XC 5.0Ah Battery 4-Pack Ends the Battery Shuffle

If you run more than two M18 tools, two batteries is never enough. Four XC5.0 packs is the number where the shuffling stops.

• Who it's for: Trades and small crews running several M18 tools a day, or anyone replacing a pile of worn-out packs in one shot.
• Why it stands out: The 5.0Ah XC pack is the best balance of run-time, weight, and size in the M18 lineup, with REDLINK protection and a fuel gauge on every pack.
• Worth knowing: Batteries only, no charger. For the hardest-working tools, see the Milwaukee M18 batteries with HIGH OUTPUT cells.
