Overview

The Milwaukee 48-11-1855R M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC5 Resistant Battery is a cordless tool battery designed for techs working around oil, grease, coolant, and solvents automotive bays, fleet maintenance shops, manufacturing floors who still need the extra power of the HIGH OUTPUT platform. Model number 48-11-1855R, it carries the same 5.0 amp-hour cell as the standard 48-11-1855, just wrapped in housing that's built to take a beating from what's on the shop floor, not just the jobsite.

Power output doesn't change for the tougher shell. This pack still delivers 50% more power than the standard REDLITHIUM XC5.0, sitting at PWR Level 3 on the M18 REDLITHIUM Power scale, so high-draw tools keep running strong. The upgraded fuel gauge button carries over too, giving you a fast, confident read on remaining charge before you head back under the hood or onto the floor.

What sets this pack apart is the resistant housing, engineered to hold up against exposure to common oils, greases, and solvents that eat away at a standard battery's seals and housing over time. Underneath that, it's the same redesigned pack construction as the rest of the HIGH OUTPUT line routing water away from the electronics, minimizing heat to extend battery life, and standing up to drops and vibration instead of failing from them.

Like the rest of the M18 platform, it's fully compatible with 300+ M18 solutions, so it's not a specialty battery you set aside for one tool it runs everything else in your M18 lineup too.

This is the battery for shop and automotive environments where a standard pack's housing wears out faster than the cells inside it. If you're not dealing with oil or solvent exposure daily, the standard 48-11-1855 covers the same power at a lower cost.

Same High Output Power, Tougher Shell

Resistant housing doesn't mean a compromise on output this pack hits the same numbers as the standard HIGH OUTPUT XC5.

• 50% more power than REDLITHIUM XC5.0
• PWR Level 3 on the M18 REDLITHIUM Power scale
• 5.0Ah runtime in a shop-ready package

Resistant Housing Built for Oils, Grease, and Solvents

• Resistant housing protects against common oils, greases, and solvents
• Redesigned pack construction routes water away from electronics
• Reduces heat buildup and resists failures from drops and vibration

One Battery, Every M18 Tool You Own

The resistant housing is built for the shop, but the battery itself still runs your entire M18 lineup.

• Fully compatible with 300+ M18 solutions
• Works on any M18 charger
• REDLINK Intelligence manages overload protection across tool, battery, and charger

Pro Tip

Keep this pack in the shop, not a standard battery. Brake cleaner overspray, engine oil, and coolant will eventually break down a standard battery's seals and housing the resistant housing on this one is built specifically to shrug that off.
