Overview

The Milwaukee 48-59-1211 M12 TOP-OFF Power Supply and Charger is a compact charging accessory built for Milwaukee M12 users who need to keep batteries and small electronics running without carrying extra gear. Model Number 48-59-1211. This is a power supply and charger designed for charging M12 batteries and personal devices through a single USB-C connection. If you already run M12 tools, this gives you an easy way to turn the batteries you already own into a more useful part of your everyday setup.

The big deal here is the 2-in-1 function. It charges M12 batteries, and it also uses an M12 battery to deliver 15W through a bi-directional USB-C port for phones, tablets, headphones, and other small electronics. That matters on the job because it cuts down on clutter and gives you one piece of gear that can handle battery maintenance in the shop and device charging when you're away from an outlet. Milwaukee also states this generation delivers up to 50% faster personal device and M12 battery charging, which is a real improvement if you are trying to stay productive instead of waiting around on power.

Milwaukee kept this unit small for a reason. At 4.5 inches long, 2 inches wide, 1.8 inches high, and only 0.6 pounds, it is easy to throw in a bag, gang box, glove box, or service pouch. That compact size matters more than it sounds like on paper. A charger that is too bulky gets left behind. This one is built to go where the work is, whether that means the bench, the van, or a quick stop between service calls.

There are a few practical details that make it more useful day to day. The built-in fuel gauge gives you a fast battery status check without swapping the battery into a tool just to see what is left. It is also compatible with all M12 Heated Gear, which adds another layer of usefulness if you already rely on that system in cold weather. The included 2-foot jobsite-tough braided USB-C cable and USB-C wall adapter mean you can start using it right out of the box instead of chasing down the right cord.

From a system standpoint, this is easy. It fits all Milwaukee M12 batteries, so it is aimed squarely at users already invested in the M12 platform. If your everyday tools live on M12, this accessory makes more sense than carrying a separate consumer power bank because it works with the batteries you already rotate through your tools. It also keeps your charging setup consistent across the same platform.

This charger makes the most sense for technicians, electricians, maintenance crews, punch-list work, mobile service, and anyone else who spends a lot of time moving between locations. It also works well for serious DIY users who keep M12 tools around the house or garage and want a compact way to charge both batteries and personal devices. If you need high-output inverter power for bigger electronics, this is not that product. But if you want a simple, compact M12 charging and USB-C power solution that earns its keep every day, this one is a smart add-on.
