Key Features

More Power OutputThe Milwaukee 48-11-1862 M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 Battery Pack 2-Pack is built to give M18 tools more usable power under load. That matters most on high-draw tools where stronger output helps the tool keep working hard instead of falling off as the battery drains. Runs CoolerMilwaukee states this battery runs 50% cooler than standard M18 XC packs. Lower heat helps during repeated heavy use, especially when cutting, grinding, drilling, and fastening all day. Onboard Fuel GaugeThe built-in charge indicator lets you check remaining runtime before you climb a ladder, head to the roof, or start another cut. It is a simple feature, but it saves guesswork on the job.

Overview

The Milwaukee 48-11-1862 M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 Battery Pack 2-Pack is a pair of 18V lithium-ion power tool batteries for the Milwaukee M18 platform. This is a battery pack designed for powering cordless drills, impact drivers, saws, grinders, and other high-demand M18 tools. Model Number 48-11-1862 gives you two XC6.0 packs in one box, making it a practical upgrade for users who need longer runtime and stronger performance across a full workday.

What separates this pack from a standard battery is the balance of size, output, and heat control. Milwaukee states the HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 delivers 50% more power and runs 50% cooler than standard M18 REDLITHIUM XC battery packs. On the job, that translates to better support for heavy applications where a tool is working hard for extended periods. If you are running a grinder, hammer drill, circular saw, or impact wrench, extra output and lower heat are the kind of things you actually notice.

Milwaukee also builds in practical protection features that matter once the battery leaves the truck and hits the jobsite. REDLINK Intelligence is designed to manage communication between the tool, battery, and charger to help optimize performance and protect against overload. The onboard fuel gauge lets you see remaining charge at a glance, which is especially useful when you are rotating packs between tools instead of stopping to test every battery by trial and error.

For crews working in rough conditions, this battery pack is aimed squarely at jobsite durability. Milwaukee calls out best-in-class construction for long-lasting performance and protection in jobsite conditions, and the pack is designed to maintain performance in extreme cold weather below 0 degrees Fahrenheit and minus 18 degrees Celsius. That matters for exterior work, service calls, and winter jobs where battery performance usually drops off fast.

Compatibility is straightforward, which is exactly what you want from a cordless platform battery. These packs are made for the Milwaukee M18 battery system and are compatible with more than 150 M18 cordless solutions. If you are already invested in M18, this is an easy way to get more from the tools you already own without changing chargers, tools, or workflow.

Who should buy this set? It makes the most sense for contractors and serious DIY users running higher-demand M18 tools, or for anyone who wants fewer battery swaps through the day. If your current packs are fine for light fastening but start feeling weak on cutting, grinding, or larger drilling tasks, the Milwaukee 48-11-1862 M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 Battery Pack 2-Pack is the kind of upgrade you will feel immediately.

Keep these high output packs charged and ready with the Milwaukee M18 & M12 Rapid Charge Station, built to handle fast turnaround between heavy-duty tasks.
