Key Features

10,000 PSI OutputWhen a fitting is dry or packed with old grease, pressure matters. This Milwaukee grease gun delivers up to 10,000 PSI so you can keep moving instead of fighting stubborn zerks. 2-Speed ControlThe 2-speed setup lets you choose between maximum pressure and maximum flow. That means better control for delicate service work and faster output when you just need grease moving. Reach Tight FittingsThe 48 inch flexible hose gives the Milwaukee M18 Cordless 2-Speed Grease Gun better access around machinery, undercarriages, and other hard-to-reach grease points without awkward positioning.

Overview

The Milwaukee M18 Cordless 2-Speed Grease Gun, model 2646-20, is built for service and maintenance work where hand-pumping grease wastes time and effort. This is a cordless grease gun designed for lubricating hard-to-reach fittings on equipment, vehicles, and machinery. As a tool-only version, it is aimed at users already on the Milwaukee M18 platform who want jobsite mobility without dragging around an air line.

The headline spec here is up to 10,000 PSI max operating pressure, which is what separates this tool from lighter-duty options. That kind of output helps when fittings are tight, dirty, or resistant to flow. Milwaukee also rates it at up to 10 ounces per minute, so this is not just about brute force. It can also move grease quickly when speed matters more than pressure. The 2-speed design gives you that choice, which is a real advantage if you go from compact equipment service to heavier maintenance work in the same day.

One of the more useful features is the pre-set grease counter dial. That matters if you are servicing multiple points and want more consistent grease delivery instead of guessing by feel. For technicians and maintenance crews, repeatable output helps avoid over-greasing and keeps service intervals more controlled. Milwaukee also includes an air bleeder valve for quick priming, which means less messing around getting the tool ready after loading grease.

From a practical standpoint, the 48 inch flexible hose is a big part of why this grease gun works well in the field. It gives you reach into undercarriages, around guards, and behind assemblies without forcing the whole tool into an awkward position. Milwaukee also calls out integrated hose storage, a lock-on and lock-off trigger, and a stand-up design, all of which make the tool easier to live with during longer service work. There is also an on-board LED light to help when fittings are buried in darker equipment bays or underneath machinery.

The tool is powered by the Milwaukee M18 battery system and works with M18 REDLITHIUM batteries. That matters if you already own Milwaukee cordless tools, because you can keep your battery platform simple and avoid buying into a separate system just for lubrication work. Milwaukee also lists compatibility with the clear barrel accessory 49-16-2646, which is useful if you want better visual tracking of grease levels during service.

In the shop or out on a service truck, the runtime claim of up to 10 grease cartridges per charge makes this a realistic replacement for manual grease guns on regular maintenance routes. The aluminum construction and cordless format make it better suited to daily use than cheap throw-in-the-box options. If you are a mechanic, heavy equipment tech, fleet maintenance pro, agricultural operator, or contractor maintaining machines with multiple fittings, this is the kind of tool that saves your hands and speeds up routine service.

If you only grease something once in a while, a manual grease gun may still do the job. But if grease work is part of your week, the Milwaukee M18 Cordless 2-Speed Grease Gun earns its spot fast. It gives you pressure when fittings fight back, flow when time matters, and enough reach and control to make maintenance cleaner and more predictable.

Pressure for Stubborn Fittings

This is where a cordless grease gun proves its worth. When fittings are tucked into equipment and need real pressure to take grease, this tool gives you both reach and output without an air hose following you around.

• Up to 10,000 PSI max operating pressure for demanding lubrication work
• 48 inch flexible hose helps reach fittings in tight service areas
• LED light helps when grease points are buried in darker machine spaces

Control the Grease, Not Just the Trigger

The smart part of this tool is not just the power. It is the way Milwaukee built in better control for routine maintenance, from the two-speed selector to the pre-set grease counter dial and quick priming system.

• 2-speed design lets you choose maximum pressure or maximum flow
• Pre-set grease counter dial helps deliver more consistent amounts
• Air bleeder valve speeds up priming after loading grease

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

Milwaukee M18 Cordless 2-Speed Grease Gun Means Less Pumping, More Servicing

This is the kind of tool that makes perfect sense the second you have a full day of maintenance work ahead of you.

• Who it's for: Mechanics, heavy equipment techs, fleet crews, and anyone servicing machines with enough grease points to make a manual gun feel like punishment.
• Why it stands out: Real pressure, real reach, and useful control features like the 2-speed setup, pre-set grease counter dial, and quick-prime air bleeder valve.
• Worth knowing: This is a bare tool, so bring your own M18 battery and charger. If you are already on M18, that is a plus, not a downside.
