Overview

The Milwaukee 2446-20 M12 Cordless Lithium-Ion Grease Gun is a cordless grease gun built for equipment maintenance, fleet service, agricultural work, and general shop lubrication. This is a grease gun designed for dispensing grease into fittings on machinery, vehicles, and other equipment that need regular service. Model 2446-20 is the bare tool version, so it is a good fit for users already on the Milwaukee M12 platform and looking to add a dedicated lubrication tool without buying another battery and charger.

The big reason this tool matters is pressure. Milwaukee rates it at more than 8,000 PSI max operating pressure, which gives it the muscle needed for clogged fittings, cold grease, and heavy-duty service points that can slow down cheaper or lower-output guns. On the job, that means less time fighting the tool and more time actually getting grease where it needs to go. Milwaukee also calls out up to 25% more pressure in its class, which lines up with this tool being aimed squarely at tough maintenance work rather than light occasional use.

Runtime is another strong point. With an M12 REDLITHIUM battery, the tool is rated to dispense up to 7 grease cartridges per charge. For mechanics, farm maintenance crews, and anyone servicing multiple pieces of equipment in one round, that kind of runtime helps you stay mobile instead of dragging out an air setup or stopping constantly to swap tools. The onboard fuel gauge is a practical feature here because it lets you check remaining battery before you climb back under a machine or head across a yard to the next service point.

Milwaukee also got the layout right for real-world handling. The tool weighs 7.2 lb and measures 14 in. long, which helps keep it compact enough for tighter service areas while still giving you a stable grip. The ergonomic trigger-grip handle improves control during extended use, and the integrated hose storage helps keep the 36 in. flex hose managed when you are moving around the job. That matters more than it sounds like because grease guns get messy fast, and anything that keeps the hose under control saves aggravation.

The included 36 in. high-pressure flex hose with spring guard and grease coupler is there for reach and durability. The extra hose length helps when the fitting is tucked behind guards, under equipment, or in awkward locations where a rigid setup would be frustrating. The air bleeder valve is another useful feature because it helps with quick priming and flow, especially after loading a cartridge or when dealing with air pockets that would otherwise waste time.

From a system standpoint, this grease gun runs on the Milwaukee M12 battery platform and works with all M12 batteries and M12 chargers. That makes it a smart add-on for users who already carry M12 tools for drilling, fastening, lighting, or inspection work. Instead of keeping a separate cordless platform just for lubrication, you can use the same battery system you are already charging every day.

Who should buy it? If you regularly grease skid steers, tractors, trailers, construction equipment, shop machinery, or fleet vehicles, this tool makes a lot of sense. It is especially useful for maintenance techs and equipment owners who are tired of hand-pumping grease into stubborn fittings. If you only grease a couple fittings once in a while, a manual gun may still do the job. But if grease work is part of your routine, the Milwaukee 2446-20 saves time, cuts fatigue, and makes the whole task a lot less annoying.

Built for Equipment Maintenance

This is the kind of tool you buy because hand-pumping grease into heavy equipment gets old fast. The Milwaukee 2446-20 is made for routine service work where speed, reach, and steady pressure matter.

• Delivers more than 8,000 PSI max operating pressure for heavy-duty fittings
• Rated for up to 7 grease cartridges per charge with an M12 REDLITHIUM battery

Reach Awkward Fittings Without Fighting the Tool

Grease points are rarely where you want them. The long flex hose and compact body help you get into tight or awkward service points on tractors, loaders, trailers, and shop equipment without putting your whole body in a bad position.

• 36 in. high-pressure flex hose with spring guard improves access and durability
• 14 in. overall length helps keep the tool manageable in tighter spaces

Compact Cordless Setup, Less Mess

Milwaukee kept this grease gun straightforward. You get an ergonomic trigger-grip layout, hose storage built into the tool, and a fuel gauge so you know how much battery is left before you crawl under the next machine.

• Integrated hose storage helps keep the hose controlled between uses
• Onboard fuel gauge helps avoid dead batteries in the middle of a service round
