Built for Demo Work This spade bit is made for drilling through nail-embedded wood, not just clean lumber. That matters when you are opening up framing, remodeling, or working in tear-out conditions where hidden fasteners slow down ordinary bits. Quick-Change Hex Shank The 1/4 inch hex shank fits standard quick-change chucks, so swaps are fast when you are moving between pilot holes, fasteners, and rough boring work. Large 1-1/4 In. Bore The Diablo DSPD4050 Demo Demon Nail-Embedded Wood Spade Bit cuts a wide hole size suited for rough-in work where speed matters more than fine finish.

Overview

The Diablo DSPD4050 Demo Demon Nail-Embedded Wood Spade Bit is a heavy-duty spade bit for rough wood boring in demanding jobsite conditions. This is a spade bit designed for drilling large holes in nail-embedded wood. Model Number: DSPD4050. If your work involves remodeling, demolition, or drilling through framing where old nails are a real possibility, this is the kind of bit built for that abuse.

What sets this bit apart is the application. A standard wood-boring bit is fine when the stock is clean. On a remodel job, that is rarely the case. The Demo Demon design is aimed at wood that may already have fasteners buried inside it, which helps keep the job moving when you are boring through existing studs, blocking, and rough framing.

The images show a broad spade head, aggressive screw point, and cutting edges designed to pull into the material and clear wood quickly. That combination is useful when you need fast penetration and do not want to fight the bit on every hole. The visible 1-1/4 inch size makes it a practical choice for larger rough openings where a smaller utility bit will not get it done.

Diablo also uses a 1/4 inch hex shank on this bit, which is the right call for jobsite convenience. It drops into standard quick-change holders and drill chucks without fuss, so it works well when you are switching between fastening and boring. For electricians, plumbers, remodelers, and general contractors, that saves a little time on every setup.

This is not a finish carpentry accessory. It is a production-oriented drilling bit for people working in real framing lumber, patch-and-repair situations, and demolition-heavy environments. If you need a wood drilling bit that makes sense for unpredictable material and rough-in work, this Diablo spade bit is the more practical choice than a basic clean-wood pattern.

Made for Real-World Framing Conditions

When you are drilling new work in old material, the bit matters. The Diablo DSPD4050 Demo Demon Nail-Embedded Wood Spade Bit is built for the kind of lumber you actually find on remodel and tear-out jobs, not just fresh stock on a bench.

• Designed specifically for nail-embedded wood drilling
• 1-1/4 inch diameter for larger rough boring applications
• 1/4 inch hex shank for standard quick-change tool setups
