Key Features

Built for Masonry Cuts concrete, reinforced concrete, brick, and block with one segmented diamond blade, so you are not swapping accessories when the material changes on site. Longer Disc Life Diablo uses taller diamond segments and a durable bond to deliver up to 2X longer cutting life versus standard diamond cut-off discs. That means fewer blade changes and less downtime. Fits Common Saws The 14 inch diameter, 1 inch arbor, and included 20 mm bushing make this cut-off blade ready for gas saws, masonry chop saws, and walk-behind saws used for serious concrete cutting.

Overview

The Diablo DMADS1400 14-in. Diamond Segmented Masonry Cut-Off Blade is a 14 inch diamond segmented cut-off blade made for masonry work. This is a diamond cut-off blade designed for cutting concrete, concrete with rebar, brick, and block. Model Number: DMADS1400. If you run a gas saw, masonry chop saw, or walk-behind saw and need a blade that holds up in hard material, this is the kind of accessory that matters because blade life and cut consistency directly affect how fast the job moves.

The main story here is durability under real cutting loads. Diablo calls out taller segments with premium diamonds and an ultra-durable bond to the disc body, which is how this blade is built to reach up to 2X longer cutting life versus standard diamond cut-off discs. On the job, that means more usable blade before performance drops off, especially when you are moving through abrasive masonry and reinforced concrete that tends to eat cheaper blades.

The segmented rim design is the right choice when speed and debris clearance matter more than a finish-grade edge. For contractors cutting block, curb, slab, pavers, or reinforced sections, segmented rims help the blade stay aggressive in tough material. Diablo also notes optimized diamond segment distribution for constant diamond exposure, which is a practical way of saying the blade is designed to keep cutting instead of glazing over too quickly in high-speed applications.

The hardened disc body is another part worth paying attention to. It is built to absorb vibration and improve impact resistance, which matters when the saw is seeing rougher conditions, inconsistent aggregate, or occasional contact with rebar. A stiffer, tougher blade body helps the cut track better and reduces some of the chatter that can make long cuts in concrete feel sloppy.

Fitment is straightforward. This blade has a 14 inch diameter, a 1 inch arbor, and compatibility with 20 mm through the included bushing. That gives it useful flexibility across common cut-off saw and masonry saw setups. It is also rated for wet or dry cutting, so you can run it in the setup your job calls for, whether you are working dry for convenience or wet to help control heat and dust.

Maximum speed is rated at 5,500 RPM, so this is clearly aimed at larger dedicated cutting equipment rather than small handheld grinders. While one source lists angle grinders under ideal use, the stronger and more consistent fit data points to gas saws, masonry chop saws, and walk-behind saws as the intended platforms for this 14 inch blade. That lines up with the size, arbor details, and masonry-focused application.

This Diablo masonry cut-off blade is a smart pick for masons, concrete crews, general contractors, hardscape installers, and serious remodelers who need one blade for mixed masonry material. If you mostly cut brick and block occasionally, you can get by with less. If you regularly cut concrete, reinforced concrete, and block on the same week, spending more on a blade like this usually pays back in usable life and steadier performance.

Built to Stay Aggressive in Hard Material

When you are cutting abrasive masonry, the blade has to keep exposing fresh diamond instead of fading halfway through the job. Diablo designed this one for that kind of work.

• Segmented diamond rim for concrete, brick, block, and reinforced concrete
• Up to 2X longer cutting life versus standard diamond cut-off discs
• Maximum speed rating of 5,500 RPM for high-speed cutting applications

Fits Common Masonry Cutting Setups

A blade is only useful if it drops into the saws you already run. The 1 inch arbor and included 20 mm bushing give this disc practical compatibility across larger masonry cutting equipment.

• 14 inch blade diameter for larger cut-off and masonry saw platforms
• 1 inch arbor with included 20 mm bushing
• Suitable for gas saws, masonry chop saws, and walk-behind saws

Pro Tip

If your saw uses a 20 mm arbor, install the included bushing before the first cut and verify the blade stays fully seated on the flange. It is a small setup step, but it helps the blade track true and keeps vibration from getting worse as the cut gets deeper.
