Overview

The Makita E-25672 8 Inch Earth Auger Drill Bit is a heavy-duty earth auger accessory built for digging clean, consistent holes in soil. This is an auger drill bit designed for post hole digging and planting. Model Number E-25672. If you already run Makita's earth auger setup and need an 8 inch option for common fence, landscape, and planting work, this is the bit made for that job.

What matters most here is the balance of diameter and reach. The 8 inch cutting diameter is sized for real digging work where you need a hole wide enough for posts or root balls without wasting time moving extra soil. The 32 inch length adds useful digging depth and flexibility across different applications, whether you're setting posts, planting shrubs, or working through general soil prep.

The Makita E-25672 8 Inch Earth Auger Drill Bit is built from durable steel for use in a variety of soil types. That matters because auger bits take constant abuse from compacted dirt and repeated starts and stops in the hole. Makita also designed this bit with replaceable blades, which is a practical feature, not a throwaway spec. When the cutting edges wear down, you can service the bit instead of replacing the whole assembly right away.

Jobsite setup is straightforward. This auger bit includes a pin for quick attachment to the Makita Earth Auger Bit Adapter, so changing over to the right size bit is simpler when the work changes. On a digging job, that saves time and keeps the auger working instead of sitting while you fight with connections.

Compatibility is clear and important with this accessory. This bit is made for use with the Makita 36V 18V X2 LXT Brushless Earth Auger XGD01, sold separately. If you are already on that platform, the Makita E-25672 8 Inch Earth Auger Drill Bit gives you a dedicated size option that fits the system it was designed around.

This is the right pick for landscapers, fencing crews, property maintenance teams, and serious homeowners who need a purpose-built auger bit for soil work. If your jobs regularly call for 8 inch holes and you want a Makita-compatible earth auger bit with replaceable blades and a durable steel build, this is the practical choice.

If you're using this bit for repeated planting or fence work, keep a spare blade set on hand. The replaceable blade design is one of the main advantages of this auger bit, and swapping worn blades is a lot cheaper than retiring the whole bit.
