Overview

The Diablo D0624A 6-1/2 in. x 24-Tooth Framing Saw Blade for Wood is a 6-1/2 inch circular saw blade built for fast wood cutting in framing and general construction. This is a framing saw blade designed for rough carpentry, sheet goods, and everyday lumber cutting. Model D0624A uses a 5/8 inch arbor and is made for corded or cordless circular saws that accept a 6-1/2 inch blade.

This blade is aimed at users who care more about cutting speed, control, and service life than ultra-fine finish quality. With 24 teeth and an alternate top bevel tooth configuration, it is set up for efficient cutting through pressure treated wood, 2x lumber, plywood, hardwoods, and softwoods. That makes it a practical choice for framers, roofers, remodelers, and concrete formers who need one wood-cutting blade that can handle the usual jobsite mix.

One of the main selling points here is Diablo's Tracking Point tooth design. In plain terms, it is built to track straight and cut with less wandering. When you're pushing a handheld circular saw through framing stock, that extra stability helps the blade stay on line and keeps the cut feeling more controlled, especially on long rips and repeated crosscuts.

The thin .059 inch kerf is another feature that matters on the job. A thinner kerf removes less material, so the blade cuts faster and puts less load on the saw. That is especially useful on cordless circular saws where efficiency affects runtime, but it also helps corded saws cut with less effort through common framing lumber.

Diablo also backs up the cutting performance with details that affect blade life. TiCo Hi-Density Carbide is used for durability and edge retention, while the Perma-Shield non-stick coating helps reduce pitch buildup, rust, and corrosion. If you cut treated lumber or work in damp conditions, that coating is not just a cosmetic extra. It helps the blade stay cleaner and keeps friction down over time.

For day-to-day use, the anti-vibration design is worth mentioning. Laser-cut stabilizer vents are there to reduce noise and vibration while helping the blade run cooler and resist warp. The laser-cut arbor is designed for accurate blade rotation, which supports smoother operation and helps reduce premature wear on both the blade and the saw.

Compatibility is straightforward. The 6-1/2 inch diameter and 5/8 inch arbor fit the common circular saw setup in this size class, and the blade is marked for use on corded or cordless saws. With a maximum speed rating of 10,000 RPM, it is suited to typical 6-1/2 inch saw applications as long as the saw matches the blade size and arbor requirements.

Who should buy it? If you need a dedicated circular saw blade for framing, deck work, roof work, subfloor, plywood breakdown, or general carpentry, this one makes sense. If your goal is clean, fast cuts in wood and jobsite materials rather than fine cabinet-grade finish cuts, the Diablo D0624A is right in its lane.

Built for Fast Wood Cutting

This framing saw blade is made for the kind of cutting most crews do every day: dimensional lumber, sheet goods, and treated stock. The combination of a 24-tooth count and thin kerf helps keep cuts moving without making the saw feel bogged down.

• 6-1/2 inch blade diameter for compact circular saws
• .059 inch thin kerf for fast cutting and lower drag
• Designed for pressure treated wood, 2x lumber, plywood, hardwoods, and softwoods

Stays Stable Under Load

A framing blade has to do more than just cut fast. It also needs to stay controlled when you're pushing through knots, wet lumber, and repetitive crosscuts. Diablo's Tracking Point design and laser-cut stabilizer vents are there for exactly that reason.

• Tracking Point tooth geometry for straighter, more stable cutting
• Laser-cut stabilizer vents help reduce vibration and noise
• Laser-cut arbor supports accurate rotation

Pro Tip

A 24-tooth framing blade like this is the right call when you want speed in studs, sheathing, and treated lumber. If you're cutting finish plywood or trim where the edge matters more than speed, step up to a higher tooth count blade instead of forcing this one to do a finish blade's job.
