Ready as a Kit This kit includes two FLEXVOLT batteries, a charger, and both metal and diamond cutting wheels, so you can get to concrete or steel work right out of the box.

Overview

The DEWALT DCS692X2 60V MAX 9 in. Brushless Cordless Cut-Off Saw is a battery-powered cut-off saw kit built for concrete, steel, rebar, and pavement work. This is a cut-off saw designed for fast cutting and scoring in masonry and metal on the jobsite. Model Number: DCS692X2. If you need deep cuts without dragging cords or fuel around the site, this setup is aimed squarely at that kind of work.

The big reason this tool matters is simple: it combines cordless mobility with jobsite-capable output. DEWALT rates it at up to 6,600 no-load RPM, and the 9 inch wheel gives you up to 3-1/4 inches of cut depth. That is enough for single-pass work in many common cutting tasks like paver cuts, rebar, concrete scoring, and similar site prep jobs. For crews moving between cuts, that saves setup time and keeps the work moving.

The brushless motor and all-metal drivetrain are the kind of details that matter more in the long run than they do on a showroom floor. Brushless design helps with efficiency and runtime, while the all-metal drivetrain means there are no belts to maintain or adjust. That is one less wear point to babysit, which is a real advantage for a tool that is going to see abrasive dust, heavy loads, and regular transport.

DEWALT also built this saw around real jobsite handling. The 5-position guard helps you change the cutting angle for better visibility and access in tight spaces, and the 3-position front handle supports both horizontal and vertical cuts. That matters when you are switching from slab scoring to curb work to rebar cutting and do not want the tool fighting your body position every time the cut changes.

For dust management and site compliance, this cordless cut-off saw uses a dual-sided water feed system and is listed as OSHA Table 1 compliant for dust control. That makes it more practical for concrete and masonry work where keeping dust down is not optional. The 2-stage trigger switch also helps prevent accidental activation, which is a smart feature on a tool in this class.

This DCS692X2 kit is built around the DEWALT FLEXVOLT 20V/60V MAX battery platform and includes two DCB609 9.0Ah batteries plus a fast charger. It also supports WIRELESS TOOL CONTROL for connection with compatible tools, which can help on dust-management setups and coordinated jobsite workflows. DEWALT also notes the sealed battery box is designed for harsh jobsite conditions and can accept the DCB615 battery, though that battery is sold separately.

Who should buy it? Concrete contractors, road crews, utility crews, masonry pros, demolition crews, and serious remodelers who need a true cordless cut-off tool for more than the occasional trim cut. It is also a strong fit for anyone cutting rebar, angle iron, metal decking, block, brick, or pavement where mobility matters. If your work is light-duty or mostly shop-based, a smaller saw may be enough. But if you need a real cordless cut-off saw for demanding site work, this DEWALT kit is built for that lane.

Built for Concrete and Roadwork

This is the kind of tool that makes sense when the work is spread out and the material is unforgiving. Cordless operation lets you move down a slab, barrier, or curb line without dealing with power access.

• Up to 3-1/4 in. cut depth for concrete scoring and deeper site cuts
• Dual-sided water feed system supports dust management on masonry work

Fast Rebar and Steel Cutting

When the job shifts from concrete to steel, this saw is set up to keep going. The brushless motor and included metal cutting wheel make it a practical choice for rebar and site steel without switching to a completely different tool platform.

• Up to 6,600 RPM for fast cutting action
• Includes a ceramic metal cut-off wheel and a diamond cutting wheel

Better Control in Awkward Cuts

Cut-off work is rarely done in a perfect stance. The adjustable front handle and multi-position guard help you set the saw up for the cut instead of forcing your wrists and shoulders to do all the work.

• 5-position guard helps improve sightline and angle access
• 3-position front handle supports horizontal and vertical cutting positions

Pro Tip

If you are bouncing between concrete and metal in the same phase of work, keep both included wheels on hand and use the 5-position guard to dial in your sightline before you start the cut. It saves time and helps you stay more accurate when you are working low or tight to the material.
