Medium Cut Finish This Mirka polishing compound is built for correction work after sanding, giving you more cut than a finishing polish without jumping straight to an aggressive heavy compound. 1 Liter Size The 1.1 qt (1 L) bottle gives you a practical shop size for regular polishing work without moving up to a large bulk container. Made for Sanded Surfaces Polarshine 10 is specifically designed for use after sanding with Mirka abrasive products, which helps streamline the correction step instead of forcing you to experiment with random compound and abrasive combinations.

Overview

Mirka PC10-1L Polarshine Compound - 1.1 qt (1 L) (10 Medium) is a medium polishing compound for users who need sanding marks refined without stepping into a heavy-cut compound. This is a polishing compound designed for post-sanding surface correction and polishing. Model Number: PC10-1L. If you work in automotive detailing, paint correction, metal polishing, or general surface finishing, this is the kind of compound that fits the middle ground between aggressive cut and final finish work.

The big reason this product matters is where it sits in the polishing process. Polarshine 10 is especially designed for use after sanding with Mirka abrasive products. That gives you a more direct workflow when you are coming off abrasive prep and need to bring the surface back. Instead of grabbing an overly coarse compound that leaves extra cleanup behind, or a finishing polish that takes too long to remove defects, this medium-grade compound is meant to handle that in-between correction step.

The 1.1 qt (1 liter) format is a practical size for active shop use. It is large enough for repeated jobs, but still easy to handle at the bench, cart, or detailing station. At 2.21 pounds with listed dimensions of 11.5 x 3.7 x 3.5 inches, it stores easily and does not eat up shelf space like larger shop jugs. For a pro user, that means easier handling and less mess. For a serious DIY user, it means you are not buying more material than you are likely to use in a reasonable time.

This Mirka compound is associated with a 280 grit reference and coarse-to-medium polishing characteristics. In practical terms, that points to a compound intended to follow sanding steps and move the surface forward toward a cleaner finish. It is listed for metal compatibility, which makes it relevant for metal polishing and automotive surface work where controlled correction matters more than brute-force removal.

Another advantage here is system thinking. Mirka built Polarshine 10 to work with Mirka abrasive products, so users already in the Mirka sanding and finishing lineup get a more predictable next step. That matters on the job because repeatable results save time. If you are trying to match sanding and polishing stages across multiple jobs, staying within a known abrasive and compound system usually leads to fewer surprises.

This product makes the most sense for automotive detailers, body shop techs, paint correction users, and metal finishing pros who need a medium polishing compound instead of an all-or-nothing option. It is also a good fit for serious DIY users who already understand the difference between sanding, compounding, and final polishing. If your work starts with abrasive correction and you need a Mirka compound that is intended to bridge that step cleanly, this is the one to look at.
