Real AC PowerThis DEWALT 1800W Portable Power Station and Simultaneous Battery Charger delivers 1800 watts of continuous output and 3600 watts peak output, so you can run most corded tools where utility power is not available. 4-Port ChargerPlug it into a wall outlet with an extension cord and it switches roles from portable power source to simultaneous charger for up to four DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, including FLEXVOLT batteries. Jobsite FriendlyNo gas means no fumes or carbon monoxide, and the built-in cooling fan plus heavy-duty roll cage make it a practical option for indoor work, restricted-noise areas, and rough jobsite handling.

Overview

The DEWALT 1800W Portable Power Station and Simultaneous Battery Charger, model DCB1800B, is built for contractors and serious users who need usable AC power away from an outlet. This is a portable power station designed for running corded tools in remote locations and charging DEWALT batteries when wall power is available. Instead of dragging a generator onto every site, this unit gives you battery-powered portable power with no gas, no fumes, and less hassle in places where noise or emissions matter.

On the job, the big number that matters is output. The DCB1800B provides 1800 watts of continuous power and 3600 watts of peak power, which is enough for most corded tools and variable speed power tools called out by DEWALT. That matters when you need to drill, cut, or handle punch-list work in an area that is not wired yet, on a roof, in a basement, or out on concrete work where extension cords become a problem. It runs on four DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, including FLEXVOLT batteries, and DEWALT specifically recommends four 3.0Ah batteries or higher for higher-power applications.

What makes this unit more useful than a one-trick inverter is the second role. When plugged into a wall outlet through an extension cord, it becomes a 4-port simultaneous battery charger. If you already run DEWALT cordless tools, that means one piece of equipment can do two real jobs: provide temporary AC power during the workday, then recharge your battery packs when utility power is available. For crews already invested in the DEWALT 20V MAX platform, that is a practical way to get more out of the batteries you already own.

DEWALT kept the design jobsite focused. The unit weighs about 18 lbs without batteries, which is light enough to move around compared to a gas generator, and the heavy-duty roll cage gives it some protection when it gets loaded in and out of trucks or set down on rough surfaces. The integrated temperature-controlled cooling fan is there for a reason: sustained power output creates heat, and controlled cooling helps the station hold up better under repeated use.

There are also real-world reasons to choose this over gas equipment. Because it does not need gasoline, the DEWALT 1800W Portable Power Station and Simultaneous Battery Charger does not emit fumes or carbon monoxide from the device. That makes it more practical for interior work, enclosed spaces where combustion equipment is a bad idea, and jobsites with tighter environmental or noise restrictions. It is also a cleaner fit for quick service work where you need power now, not a generator setup routine.

Compatibility is one of the strongest selling points here. The DCB1800B is part of the DEWALT 20V MAX battery platform and accepts FLEXVOLT batteries as well. If your crew already owns those packs, this power station drops into the system without forcing you into a separate fuel source or stand-alone battery ecosystem. That matters for electrical contractors, general contractors, remodelers, concrete crews, service techs, and maintenance teams who already rely on DEWALT cordless tools and want a more flexible power option on site.

Who should buy it? If you need to run lighter-duty corded tools remotely, power equipment temporarily in unfinished spaces, or keep a DEWALT battery fleet working without bringing a generator everywhere, this unit makes a lot of sense. If your work regularly demands long-duration, high-draw output all day, a generator may still be the better fit. But for mobile jobsite convenience, quiet operation, and platform compatibility, the DCB1800B fills a very useful gap.

Portable Power for Corded Tools

This is where the DCB1800B earns its keep. It gives you AC power where there is no convenient outlet, so you can keep work moving instead of waiting on temporary power or stringing extension cords across the site.

• Provides 1800 watts continuous and 3600 watts peak output
• Designed to run most corded tools and most variable speed power tools
• Uses four DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, including FLEXVOLT batteries

Built for the Real Jobsite

The layout is straightforward and the housing is made to take normal site abuse. The roll cage helps protect the unit when it gets moved around, and the cooling system is there to support sustained use instead of short demo-table run time.

• Heavy-duty roll cage helps protect the unit during transport and use
• Integrated temperature-controlled cooling fan helps manage heat
• Compact design weighs about 18 lbs without batteries

One Unit, Two Jobs

The charger function is not an afterthought. Plug the unit into a wall outlet with an extension cord and it becomes a four-port simultaneous charger, which is a smart setup for crews already running DEWALT cordless tools all day.

• Functions as a 4-port simultaneous charger when connected to wall power
• Charges up to four DEWALT 20V MAX batteries, including FLEXVOLT
• Batteries and extension cord are sold separately

Tool Nut's Take

DEWALT 1800W Portable Power Station and Simultaneous Battery Charger for crews that already run yellow

This is one of those tools that makes a lot more sense the minute you have to work somewhere with no outlet and no patience for dragging a generator around.

• Who it's for: Contractors, remodelers, service crews, and maintenance teams already invested in DEWALT 20V MAX or FLEXVOLT batteries who need portable AC power for corded tools.
• Why it stands out: You get 1800 watts of continuous output, 3600 watts peak, plus a true 4-port simultaneous charger in the same unit.
• Worth knowing: This is a tool-only setup, so batteries are not included. For heavier loads, you will want four 3.0Ah packs or larger to get the best performance.
