Key Features

Fast, Repeatable Layout Scribing guides and drilled holes let you mark clean, parallel lines off an edge without chasing a tape measure across a panel. Machined Aluminum Build A precisely machined, laser-engraved aluminum blade paired to a solid billet handle gives you true squaring and clear scales you can actually read at the bench. Rack-It Storage Included The included wall-mount Rack-It keeps the Woodpeckers TS-24-20 Precision Woodworking T-Square protected, flat, and always within reach.

Overview

The Woodpeckers TS-24-20 Precision Woodworking T-Square - 24 Inch With Rack-It (Model TS-24-20) is a precision layout square built for woodworking. This is a T-square designed for marking, scribing, and squaring parts accurately off the edge of your stock, especially when you want repeatable layout without measuring and re-measuring.

The big advantage of this layout square is speed with control. The blade has precision drilled scribing guides spaced every one sixteenth inch along the length, so you can drop in the tip of a mechanical pencil and slide the square to lay out a dead-parallel line. It also has one quarter inch diameter holes on one inch centers for quick shelf-pin layout and other consistent spacing jobs.

Woodpeckers builds these as two critical parts that work together: a precisely machined, laser-engraved aluminum blade fitted to a solid billet handle. The handle includes support lips that help prevent tipping, and the beam design includes a lip that rests on the top surface of your stock to help keep the tool from rolling like many T-squares do.

Reading your marks matters, especially on sheet goods. The outer edges are beveled to 30 degrees to bring the graduations right down next to the workpiece edge. The scales are laser engraved to a tolerance of 0.004 inches, so the markings stay crisp and consistent for layout work where small errors show up fast.

On the durability side, the blade and handle are secured with precision socket screws (quantity varies by blade length) and the hole pattern is slightly offset to keep constant tension between parts. That gives you solid performance in use, and it also means the blade can be replaced if it gets damaged instead of scrapping the whole square.

If you build cabinets, bookcases, and casework, the 24 inch length is the sweet spot for a lot of shop layout tasks on larger parts. And since it ships with the wall-mountable Rack-It, you can store it where it will not get buried under clamps and offcuts.

Parallel Lines Without Guesswork

When you need a straight line that tracks the edge of your stock, the scribing guides do the spacing for you. Set the head against the edge, drop your pencil in a guide, and slide.

• Scribing guides spaced every one sixteenth inch along the blade
• Designed to scribe parallel to the edge of your stock

Layout Holes That Do Real Work

The drilled layout pattern is built for quick, repeatable marks. It is the kind of detail that saves time when you are laying out multiple parts that all need to match.

• Precision drilled scribing guides accept most mechanical pencils
• One quarter inch diameter holes on one inch centers for shelf pin layout

Scales Right Where You Need Them

The beveled edge pulls the graduations down next to the stock, so you are not reading a scale that is floating above the workpiece. That is a small thing that makes layout faster and more accurate.

• Outer edges beveled at 30 degrees to bring graduations to the stock
• Laser-engraved scales with 0.004 inch tolerance

Pro Tip

Use a mechanical pencil for the scribing guides. Drop the tip into the hole and keep light pressure as you slide the square, and you will get a clean, consistent line without the pencil wandering.
