Key Features

Ratchet Built Into the Handle A fine-tooth ratchet inside the Kraftform handle drives screws without regripping, and the switch turns the same direction you want the screw to go. Six Bits On Board This Wera ratcheting bit holder screwdriver stores six color-coded BiTorsion bits in the handle, so the common Phillips, Pozidriv, TORX, and slotted sizes are always with the driver. Blade Doubles as a Bit Holder The telescopic blade pulls out of the handle and chucks into a drill as a quick-release power bit holder, then goes right back.

Overview

The Wera Kraftform Kompakt 20 Ra-R With Pouch, 6-Pieces is a ratcheting multi-bit screwdriver that carries its own bits and rides in a belt pouch. This is a bit holder screwdriver designed for driving and removing screws across Phillips, Pozidriv, TORX, and slotted fasteners without carrying a separate driver for each. Model Number 05051514001. The handle holds six 1" (25 mm) BiTorsion bits, and a telescopic blade with Wera's Rapidaptor quick-release chuck slides in and out of the handle.

The ratchet is what sets the RA-R apart from the standard Wera Kraftform Kompakt drivers. Wera builds a fine-tooth ratchet into the handle, so you can turn screws in short strokes without letting go and regripping. Switching is intuitive: turn the switch clockwise and the ratchet drives clockwise, turn it counterclockwise and it drives counterclockwise. Position 0 locks the ratchet out when you want the precise feel of a fixed screwdriver for starting a small screw or final tightening.

The mechanism also spins freely. Once a screw breaks loose and there is no resistance left, you can spin the blade fast with your fingers instead of cranking the handle. Wera's Rapidaptor chuck adds a rapid-spin collar right at the tip, which helps in tight spaces where you cannot swing the whole handle.

The blade itself is more useful than it looks. It retracts into the handle for storage and extends when you press the locking sleeve, then works as a full-length screwdriver shaft. Pull it out completely and it becomes a quick-release power bit holder you can chuck into a cordless drill, then drop back into the handle when you are done. The Rapidaptor chuck takes 1/4" hex bits with rapid-in and rapid-out changes, a permanent magnet to hold the bit, and single-hand operation.

The bits are Wera BiTorsion bits, built tough for long service life in universal use. You get Phillips #1 and #2, Pozidriv #2, TORX T20 and T25, and a 1 x 5.5 mm slotted bit, all 1" (25 mm) long. Wera's Take it Easy tool finder color-codes the bits by tip type and stamps each one with its size, so the right bit is easy to grab from the magazine. Replacements and extra profiles from the Wera driver bit sets fit the same 1/4" hex holder.

The Kraftform handle is multi-component, with hard and soft zones, plus anti-roll protection so the driver stays put on a ladder or sloped surface. The whole kit fits in the included canvas belt pouch. Wera lists the set at 6-5/8" x 3" x 2-1/8" (168 x 75 x 54 mm) and 11.1 oz (314 g). Wera makes it in the Czech Republic.

This set suits electricians, maintenance techs, installers, and anyone who wants one pocket driver that covers most cabinet hardware, electrical devices, and appliance screws. For a bench or drawer setup with dedicated drivers, the Wera screwdriver sets pair well with it.

Drive Without Regripping

The fine-tooth ratchet sits inside the handle, so short strokes keep the screw turning while your hand stays in place.

• Fine toothing for a small working angle
• Freewheels for fast spinning with no load

Switch the Way You Think

Turn the switch the direction you want the screw to turn. Set it to 0 and the driver works like a fixed screwdriver for precise control.

• Clockwise, counterclockwise, and locked positions
• No guessing which way the ratchet is set

Hand Driver or Drill Bit Holder

Pull the blade out of the handle and it works as a quick-release bit holder in a cordless drill, which saves carrying a separate holder.

• Rapidaptor quick-release with permanent magnet
• Returns to the handle when the power work is done

Short When You Store It, Long When You Need It

The telescopic blade retracts into the handle for the pouch and extends at the press of the locking sleeve when you need reach.

• Works as a full screwdriver shaft when extended
• Compact enough to carry on a belt

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

The Wera Kraftform Kompakt 20 RA-R Is the Pocket Driver That Does the Most

A ratchet, six bits, a telescoping blade, and a drill bit holder in one handle make this the driver that earns a permanent spot on the belt.

• Who it's for: Electricians, maintenance techs, and installers who want one driver for most everyday screws.
• Why it stands out: The direction switch that matches the screw rotation, plus a blade that converts to a power bit holder.
• Worth knowing: There is no square bit in the set, so carry one separately if you work on Robertson screws.
