Key Features

16" (400 mm) Reach A 16" (400 mm) shank puts the slotted tip deep inside engine bays, cabinets and equipment housings where a standard screwdriver can't get to the fastener. Steady at Full Length The long shank pairs with a large 1-5/16" (34 mm) grip, so this extra-long slotted screwdriver stays controlled instead of wobbling when you are turning a screw at arm's length. Knurled Shank A knurled section on the shank lets you spin loose screws quickly with your fingertips and doubles as a reamer for opening up holes in wood and board.

Overview

The Vessel MEGADORA No.900 Extra-Long Slotted Screwdriver, model 900S6400, is a 1/4" (6 mm) flat-blade hand screwdriver with a 400 mm shank, built for reaching fasteners that sit far back from the opening. This is a slotted screwdriver designed for long-reach fastening and adjustment work in automotive, equipment and general maintenance applications.

The tip is a 1/4" (6 mm) wide slotted blade, 1/16" (0.9 mm) thick, which suits common mid-size slotted screws found on hose clamps, adjustment screws and terminal hardware. The shank measures 16" (400 mm) long and 1/4" (6.4 mm) in diameter, and overall length comes in at 20-1/16" (510 mm), so you get real reach without stepping up to a pry bar-sized tool.

Length is only useful if you can control it. Vessel pairs the long shank with a 1-5/16" (34 mm) diameter grip, giving your hand enough surface to keep the blade seated and steady while you turn. That combination is what keeps a 16" (400 mm) driver from wandering off the screw slot when the fastener is buried at the back of an engine bay.

The shank includes a knurled section. Use it to spin a loosened screw out quickly with your fingers once the initial break-free is done, and use it to ream and widen a hole in wood or board material when you need a slightly larger opening.

MEGADORA is Vessel's flagship screwdriver line, and the No.900 Extra Long Type is the long-reach version of that standard driver. Vessel is a Japanese tool maker known for screwdrivers and bits used across automotive and industrial assembly work.

Pick up the 900S6400 if you work on cars, trucks, HVAC equipment, appliances or machinery and regularly run into slotted fasteners you cannot reach with a standard-length driver. Vessel specifically calls out automotive headlight adjustment and hose band removal as target jobs.

Reach Fasteners Buried Deep

Headlight adjusters, hose clamps and recessed panel screws are usually tucked behind something else. A 400 mm shank lets you come in straight from the opening instead of fighting the fastener at an angle.

Pro Tip

Break the screw loose with the grip, then move your fingers to the knurled section on the shank and spin it out. On a 16" (400 mm) driver that is far faster than cranking the handle at full arm extension.
