Shock-Absorbing Torsion Zone The Ball Torsion section is built to absorb impact shock instead of passing it straight into the tip. That helps the bit hold up longer in repetitive fastening with an impact driver. Harder Steel Where It Counts Vessel uses VoHA alloy steel with stated hardness up to 62 HRC. For a Phillips bit, that matters because better steel helps resist early wear and tip rounding. Short Phillips Bit Set This 30 mm Phillips #2 impact bit set gives you 15 matching bits in one case. It is a practical fit for installers and contractors who burn through common driver bits on the job.

Overview

The Vessel IBPH230P15T IMPACT BALL Torsion Bit is a 15-piece Phillips #2 impact driver bit set built for repeated screwdriving in construction and general fastening work. This is a torsion bit set designed for impact driver fastening. Model Number: IBPH230P15T. If you spend your day driving common Phillips fasteners and want a short bit that is made to take abuse, this is the kind of set worth keeping in the pouch or truck.

What separates this bit from a basic insert bit is the Ball Torsion section built into the shank. Vessel calls out shock absorption at that point, and that matters in real use because impact drivers hit hard and repeatedly. Instead of a completely rigid bit taking every blow the same way, the torsion section helps manage that load. The practical payoff is better durability during repetitive fastening, especially when you are running screws in volume.

Vessel also uses its VoHA alloy steel and lists hardness up to 62 HRC. On a Phillips bit, steel quality is a big deal. Cheap bits usually fail the same way: the tip wears, cam-out gets worse, and the screw head gets chewed up. A harder, purpose-built alloy helps the tip stay crisp longer so the bit continues to seat properly in the fastener. That means less slipping and fewer wasted screws when the pace picks up.

The 1-3/16" (30 mm) overall length keeps this set compact and straightforward. Short bits are useful when you want a direct connection in an impact driver or bit holder without extra length getting in the way. They are easy to control, quick to swap, and well suited to day-to-day fastening where a Phillips #2 is the most common size in the rotation. Since this pack includes 15 matching bits, it also makes sense for crews, service techs, and anyone who wants backup bits ready instead of hunting for singles.

This set is explicitly intended for impact driver use, and the bit profile is a Phillips #2. That makes it a fit for common fastening tasks in construction, remodeling, carpentry, punch-list work, and general installation. If your work involves repeated screwdriving into wood or jobsite materials, a torsion-style impact bit like this is the right category to be shopping in.

Who should buy it? Contractors and serious DIY users who know a Phillips #2 is still part of daily work and who are tired of throwaway bits. If you need long reach, this is not that tool. If you need a compact impact bit set with a short 1-3/16" (30 mm) length, durable alloy steel, and a case full of replacements, the Vessel IBPH230P15T IMPACT BALL Torsion Bit is a smart, no-nonsense choice.

Built for Repeated Impact Fastening

This set is made for impact driver work, not light-duty hand-tool duty dressed up with fancy packaging. The torsion design helps the bit deal with repeated hammering loads during screwdriving.

• Designed for impact driver use
• Ball Torsion section absorbs shock during fastening

Short Length, Better Control

At 1-3/16" (30 mm) overall length, this bit stays compact and easy to manage. That is useful when you want a direct, controlled feel for common fastening without extra bit length hanging out front.

• Phillips #2 tip for one of the most common screw sizes on the job
• 1-3/16" (30 mm) length keeps the setup compact

Enough Bits to Stay Working

A single good bit is fine. Fifteen matching bits in a case is better when this size is part of your daily rotation. This pack is built for users who would rather swap a fresh bit and keep moving.

• 15-piece set for replacements on hand
• Packaged in a storage case
