Key Features

Built for Impact The Impact Ball torsion design helps absorb shock from an impact driver, which reduces stress at the tip and helps the bits last longer under repeated fastening. Hard Steel, Better Wear VoHA alloy steel and heat treatment up to 62 HRC give these bits the hardness needed to resist rounding off and slipping when you are driving common jobsite fasteners. Mag Charge Holder The included holder lets you magnetize or demagnetize bits by friction, which makes one-handed screw starts easier when you want magnetism and easy to remove when you do not.

Overview

The Vessel IBMG90K001 IMPACT BALL Torsion Bit with Mag Charge Holder is a 5-piece impact-rated driver bit set for users who want longer bit life and better fastener control from a standard 1/4 inch hex setup. This is a driver bit set designed for impact driving and fastening. Model Number: IBMG90K001. You get five 90 mm bits covering Phillips #1, Phillips #2, Phillips #3, 3/16" (4 mm) slotted, and 1/4" (6 mm) slotted profiles, plus a Mag Charge holder for quick magnetizing and demagnetizing.

What matters here is how these bits are built for real impact driver use instead of being standard bits asked to survive impact loads. Vessel's Impact Ball torsion design is made to absorb shock through the torsion section so less of that hit gets transferred straight to the tip. In practical terms, that means less tip stress during repetitive fastening, especially when you are driving into dense material or running a lot of screws back to back.

The steel matters too. Vessel uses its VoHA alloy steel and states hardness up to 62 HRC. Hardness by itself is not the whole story with an impact bit, but paired with the torsion section it gives you a better balance of wear resistance and controlled flex. That is the combination serious users look for in an impact driver bit set because it helps the tip keep its shape instead of rounding over early.

The included sizes make this set useful well beyond one specific trade. Phillips #2 is the obvious everyday workhorse, but having Phillips #1 and Phillips #3 in the same pack covers smaller hardware and larger fastening jobs without digging through mixed bins. The 4 and 6 mm slotted bits round out the set for maintenance, installation, and hardware that still calls for a flat blade profile. Since all bits use a 1/4 inch hex shank, they drop right into standard impact driver chucks.

The Mag Charge holder is not filler. It gives you a quick way to add magnetism when you need a screw to stay put on the tip, then remove magnetism when you do not want metal shavings or small hardware sticking to the bit. That is especially useful for overhead work, cabinet hardware, electrical covers, and other spots where one-handed starts save time and frustration.

At 3-9/16" (90 mm) long, these bits give you a little extra reach without getting into awkward extra-long territory. That makes them a good middle ground for general construction, woodworking, installation, punch list work, and service calls. The longer length can help you clear shallow obstructions and get the tool body off the work surface a bit, while still keeping decent control.

These bits are made in Japan, and Vessel has a strong reputation for bit fit and consistency. If you are the kind of user who burns through bargain bits, chews up screw heads, or spends too much time fighting cam-out, this set makes sense. It is a compact fastening kit for pros and serious DIY users who want a better impact driver bit set, not a giant assortment full of sizes they never touch.

Handles Impact Driver Shock Better

This set is made for the kind of fastening that kills ordinary bits. The torsion section is there to take the hit so the tip does not have to.

• Impact Ball torsion design helps absorb shock during high-power impact driving
• Built specifically for use with impact drivers, not just standard screwdriving

Pro Tip

Run your bit through the Mag Charge holder before overhead work or cabinet installs where you need to start screws one-handed. If you switch to work around metal dust or fine shavings, demagnetize it so the bit stays cleaner.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

Vessel IBMG90K001 IMPACT BALL Torsion Bit with Mag Charge Holder is a smart everyday impact bit set

If you use an impact driver a lot and you are tired of bits that twist up, wear out, or fit sloppy, this is the kind of set worth keeping in the bag.

• Who it's for: Pros, installers, woodworkers, and serious DIY users who want a compact impact driver bit set with the sizes they actually use.
• Why it stands out: The torsion design, the hard VoHA steel, and the included magnetizer holder make it more useful than a basic five-bit pack.
• Worth knowing: This is a focused set, not a giant assortment. That is a plus if you want quality and common sizes, but not if you need specialty drive profiles.

Common Questions

• Are these bits made for impact drivers? Yes. Vessel states this set is designed for impact driving and the bits use Impact Ball torsion construction to absorb shock loads.
• What shank do these bits use? They use a standard 1/4 inch hex shank for compatibility with common impact driver chucks.
• How long are the bits? Each bit is 3-9/16" (90 mm) long, which is about 3-1/2 inches.
• Can the holder both magnetize and demagnetize? Yes. The included Mag Charge holder is designed to magnetize and demagnetize bits by friction.
