Description:

The Vessel Tool 980P2150 MEGADORA IMPACTA is a Phillips #2 impact screwdriver built for seized, rusted, or stripped screws that a standard tool cannot move. A hammer strike on the hardened steel cap activates the cam rotation mechanism, rotating the blade 12 degrees counterclockwise to break fasteners free through simultaneous impact force and torque. The Tang-Thru shank construction and fully hardened chrome vanadium blade make it equally capable as a conventional everyday screwdriver.

• Cam rotation mechanism converts hammer strikes into 12-degree counterclockwise rotation, delivering simultaneous impact force and torque directly to the tip to loosen seized, rusted, or stripped screws
• Tang-Thru shank runs the full length of the handle and terminates at a hardened steel butt cap, channeling striking energy to the blade with minimal loss
• Magnetic tip holds Phillips #2 fasteners securely during placement and extraction
• Fully hardened chrome vanadium steel blade and shank resist wear and maintain tip geometry under repeated impact use
• 6" (150 mm) blade provides reach into recessed fastener locations, with a 10-3/8" (263 mm) overall length and 0.33-lb weight
• Functions as a standard screwdriver when impact is not needed, eliminating the need for a separate dedicated tool
• Textured gray and black ergonomic handle provides a secure, non-slip grip for both rotational torque and hammer-strike applications

The MEGADORA IMPACTA No.980 solves one of the most common workshop problems: fasteners that have seized from rust, corrosion, or previous stripping. When a hammer strikes the hardened steel cap, the internal cam rotation mechanism converts that downward blow into a 12-degree counterclockwise rotation at the Phillips tip. This action simultaneously seats the tip deeper into the screw head while breaking the friction bond holding the fastener in place, accomplishing what rotational force alone cannot.

Construction throughout is designed to handle impact without compromise. The Tang-Thru shank eliminates the weak point at the handle-shank junction by running the steel shank completely through the handle, with the steel butt cap accepting hammer blows directly. The blade is machined from fully hardened chrome vanadium steel for the toughness required to withstand repeated striking without chipping or deforming. The dual-material handle combines textured grip zones in gray and black for control under both torque and downward load, while the magnetic tip keeps fasteners seated during awkward positioning tasks.

Configured for Phillips #2, the most common fastener size in automotive, construction, electrical, and general maintenance work, this tool is made in Japan to Vessel's professional-grade quality standards. It handles stuck fasteners without the need for power tools or a separate impact driver, making it a practical addition to any service kit.
