Key Features

Electric Drive Plus Manual Torque Run the motor for fast tightening, then switch to manual for the final turns the electric drive won't over-torque a fastener you need to finish by feel. USB-Rechargeable Battery A built-in 3.6V, 800mAh lithium-ion cell charges over any standard USB port no proprietary charging dock or dead disposable batteries. Built-In LED Work Light A high-brightness LED lights the fastener you're driving into, useful in dim panels, cabinets, and electronics enclosures.

Overview

The Vessel 220USB1U e-ASSIST Screwdriver is a USB-rechargeable powered screwdriver designed for anyone doing repetitive fastening work who wants motorized speed without a full cordless driver on their bench. Model 220USB1U is the Higher Torque variant in Vessel's e-ASSIST line, built around a 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex shank with a (+)2 Impact Ball Torsion Bit included.

The core idea behind e-ASSIST is a hybrid drive: an electric motor delivers 17.7 in-lbs (2.0 Nm) of torque at 280 rpm no-load speed for quick, repetitive tightening, and when you need more torque than the motor can safely deliver or want to feel the final turns you switch to manual mode and drive it like a standard ball-grip screwdriver, rated up to 88.5 in-lbs (10 Nm) by hand. That combination is the point: electric for speed, manual for control and final seating, in one tool instead of two.

Power comes from a built-in 3.6V, 800mAh lithium-ion battery that charges over any USB port using the included micro-USB cable no proprietary dock, no swapping disposable cells. A high-brightness LED lights the work area around the bit, useful when you're driving screws into dim enclosures, panels, or cabinetry. Vessel rates the driver for fasteners up to M6.

This is a fit for electronics assembly, panel and enclosure work, furniture assembly, and any repetitive small-fastener task where a full cordless drill/driver is overkill but a plain manual screwdriver is too slow.

Electric Speed, Manual Control

Switch between the two modes without swapping tools: run the electric drive to spin a fastener down fast, then finish it by hand for a controlled final seat instead of risking a stripped head or over-torqued joint.

• 17.7 in-lbs (2.0 Nm) electric output at 280 rpm
• 88.5 in-lbs (10 Nm) manual torque, rated up to M6 fasteners

Charge It Anywhere You've Got a USB Port

No AC brick, no charging cradle to keep track of the built-in 3.6V, 800mAh Li-ion cell tops off through the included micro-USB cable off a laptop, power bank, or any standard USB charger.

• 3.6V, 800mAh built-in Li-ion battery
• Micro-USB Type B charging cable, 39" (1 m), included

An LED Right Where You're Working

The high-brightness LED sits right at the head of the driver, throwing light exactly where the bit meets the fastener helpful inside dim enclosures, behind panels, or under cabinets where you can't get another light source in.

• High-brightness LED at the driver head
• (+)2 Impact Ball Torsion Bit, 3-9/16" (90 mm), included

Pro Tip

Use the electric drive to run a fastener down close to seated, then finish the last quarter-turn or two by hand. The 17.7 in-lbs (2.0 Nm) electric output is tuned for speed, not final seating torque hand-finishing avoids stripping small fastener heads on plastic or thin sheet metal.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

A Hybrid Driver for Repetitive Small-Fastener Work

The Vessel 220USB1U splits the difference between a manual screwdriver and a cordless driver, and does it well for the fastener sizes it's built for.

• Who it's for: Electronics techs, appliance repair, and anyone driving a lot of small-to-medium screws who wants speed without a full drill/driver.
• Why it stands out: Electric drive plus manual finish in one tool, powered by a USB-rechargeable battery instead of a proprietary dock or swappable cells.
• Worth knowing: Rated to M6 fasteners this is a light-duty precision driver, not a replacement for a cordless impact driver on structural fasteners.

Common Questions
