It is an ergonomic setup that works well when you are making repeated turns in tight electrical boxes. Five Core Drivers You get the most commonly used Phillips and slotted insulated screwdriver sizes in one set, from Phillips #1 up to Phillips #3 plus 3/16" x 1/16" (5 x 0.8 mm) and 1/4" x 1/16" (6 x 1.0 mm) slotted tips. It is a practical kit for electrical service instead of a mixed set full of filler sizes.

Overview

The Vessel 2005PBU BALL GRIP Insulated Screwdriver 5-Piece Set is a professional insulated screwdriver set built for electrical work and general service tasks where grip, control, and insulation matter. This is a screwdriver set designed for fastening in electrical applications. Model Number: 2005PBU. If you want a compact set that covers the core Phillips and slotted sizes without overloading your bag, this one keeps it simple and job-focused.

What makes this set worth a look is the combination of Vessel's BALL GRIP handle shape and true insulated construction. The grip is built to sit naturally in your palm so you can apply turning force without feeling like you are fighting a straight, hard handle. Vessel describes the grip as elastic for reliable tightening, and that tracks with what this style is meant to do: give you control on stubborn terminal screws and repetitive panel work without beating up your hand.

The insulated shaft design matters too. It has a slim covered blade shank intended to help prevent electrical short circuits, and the images show why that matters in real use. When you are working around recessed screws and tight terminal blocks, a narrow insulated shaft can reach the fastener while keeping surrounding contact points better protected than a bulkier covered shank. That is a real advantage for electricians and maintenance techs working inside crowded boxes and devices.

This 5-piece set covers the sizes people actually reach for: slotted 3/16" x 1/16" x 3" (5 x 0.8 x 75 mm), slotted 1/4" x 1/16" x 4" (6 x 1.0 x 100 mm), Phillips #1 x 3" (75 mm), Phillips #2 x 4" (100 mm), and Phillips #3 x 6" (150 mm). That gives you short-to-long coverage from 3 inches up to 6 inches of shaft length, which is enough range for outlet devices, breakers, control panels, and general fastening. The set is also magnetic, which helps when you are trying to start or retrieve screws in cramped spaces.

For electrical users, the certification side is not window dressing. The packaging shows IEC 60900 compliance, 1000V rating, and VDE certification, with 100% dielectric inspection. Those are the details buyers look for when they need insulated hand tools for real electrical work, not just a red handle on a standard screwdriver.

Vessel also did a smart job with fast identification. Tip type can be identified by the color of the cushion material and by the symbol on the end cap. On a service call or when you are moving fast at a bench, that saves time because you can pick out the right Phillips or slotted driver without rolling the tool in your hand to read the shaft marking every time.

This set is best suited to electricians, industrial maintenance crews, control-panel techs, and serious DIY users doing electrical work who want insulated screwdrivers from a known Japanese hand tool brand. It is not trying to be an all-in-one mega set. It is a tight, useful insulated fastening kit with the sizes most people actually use, made in Japan, and built around a handle shape that is easier on your hand than a basic straight driver.

Better Access in Tight Electrical Spaces

One of the best parts of this set is the slim insulated shaft profile. In real electrical work, that means easier access to recessed screws and less interference when you are working inside compact terminals and device bodies.

• Non-step slim covered blade shank is designed to help prevent electrical short circuits
• Image callout shows a narrower 1/4" (6 mm) shaft profile compared to a bulkier 5/16" (8 mm) style

Grab the Right Driver Faster

This set is laid out the way a working tech wants it: common sizes, easy visual identification, no wasted pieces. When you are switching between Phillips and slotted fasteners, fast tip recognition saves time.

• Includes Phillips #1, Phillips #2, Phillips #3, 3/16" x 1/16" (5 x 0.8 mm) slotted, and 1/4" x 1/16" (6 x 1.0 mm) slotted drivers
• Tip type is identified by color and by the symbol formed into the end cap

Vessel 2005PBU BALL GRIP Insulated Screwdriver 5-Piece Set Grip That Works With Your Hand

The BALL GRIP handle is the reason a lot of users buy Vessel in the first place. It gives you a more natural palm drive for controlled tightening, especially when you are doing repetitive fastening instead of one or two screws.

• Rubber handle with cushioned grip helps reduce hand fatigue
• Magnetic tips help hold screws during installation and removal
