Overview

The Tajima PLC2-W300 Micro Chalk White 300-gram 10.5-oz. is a white micro chalk refill for chalk boxes and snap line layout work. This is a chalk line refill designed for filling chalk boxes and making bold, uniform marking lines. Model number PLC2-W300. If you need layout lines that are easy to see and consistent from end to end, this is the kind of refill that earns its spot in the box.

What matters here is particle size and coverage. Tajima calls this an ultra-fine or micro chalk, and the practical benefit is simple: it coats the string evenly and thoroughly so the snapped line looks solid instead of weak or spotty. That makes a difference when you're laying out framing, interior work, or general construction marks where a readable line saves time and second-guessing.

The bottle size is 10.6 oz (300 grams), which is a good middle-ground refill size for regular use. It is large enough to keep a chalk box working through plenty of layout tasks, but still easy to store and carry. The bottle also uses an easy-fill nozzle, which helps when topping off a chalk box without wasting material around the opening.

This Tajima micro chalk is sold in white, which is often the right call when you want visible layout marks without stepping into brighter pigment colors. As with any layout chalk, the real buying decision comes down to line quality, refill convenience, and consistency. This product is built specifically to deliver uniform marking lines rather than just functioning as a generic bulk powder.

For users already running a Tajima chalk box or another compatible snap line box, this is a straightforward consumable that supports accurate layout work. It is not a hand tool by itself. It is the refill material that keeps your line tool useful on the job, whether you're doing basic construction layout, carpentry, or general marking tasks.

Who should buy it? Anyone who uses a chalk box often enough to care about line visibility and refill quality. If you are a contractor, carpenter, remodeler, or serious DIYer who depends on straight reference lines, the Tajima PLC2-W300 Micro Chalk White 300-gram 10.5-oz. makes sense because it focuses on the one thing chalk is supposed to do well: leave a bold, even line you can actually work from.
