Key Features

Switchable Thrust Move between 8:1 and 16:1 thrust ratios with a single lever. That gives you better control on lighter material and more push when the sealant gets thick. Rotates in Tight Spots The 360 rotating handle helps you keep the tube where it needs to be while your wrist stays in a better position. That matters when you are working in corners, overhead, or against cabinets and trim. Built for 30 oz Tubes The Tajima CNV-900RS Convoy RS Caulk Applicator is sized for 30.4 fl oz (900 ml) material. It is a good fit for bigger sealing jobs where stopping to reload costs time.

Overview

The Tajima CNV-900RS Convoy RS Caulk Applicator is a high-thrust manual caulk gun built for dispensing sealants and other thick, viscous materials from 30.4 fl oz (900 ml) cartridges. This is a caulk applicator designed for controlled sealant dispensing on larger jobs and in tighter working areas. Model Number: CNV-900RS. If you are working with material that gets hard to push through a standard gun, this model gives you a mechanical advantage without stepping up to a bulkier powered setup.

The big selling point here is the switchable thrust ratio. Tajima gives you an 8:1 and 16:1 setting that can be changed by moving a single lever up or down. In practical terms, that means you can run a lower ratio when you want smoother flow and better feel, then switch to the higher ratio when the material is thicker and needs more push. Tajima also calls out its Enhanced SST feature, which is designed to deliver stronger thrust force without asking for more effort from the user.

This caulk gun is also built around control, not just force. The 360 rotating handle lets you change your hand position and tube orientation more easily when you are reaching into awkward spots. That matters on real work such as sealing around window openings, running beads behind fixtures, or working in cramped finish spaces where a fixed-handle gun can fight you the whole time. Contoured grips help keep it comfortable when you are running long beads or working through multiple tubes in a day.

Tajima designed the CNV-900RS for jobsite practicality as well. The extra-long seal puncture pin helps you get tubes opened quickly without hunting for another tool, and the extra-long barrel is meant to make reloading less of a hassle. Those are small details, but they save aggravation when you are moving from one tube to the next and trying to keep production up.

The material capacity also tells you where this tool fits. A 30.4 fl oz (900 ml) caulk gun is aimed at larger-volume sealing work compared to smaller household guns. If you are running long joints, repeatedly loading high-viscosity material, or need a manual applicator that can deal with more demanding products, this size makes sense. It is a manual dispensing tool, but it is clearly built for heavier-use applications rather than occasional touch-up work.

Construction is listed as steel, which is what you want in a high-thrust caulk gun. When you are squeezing thicker material, the frame and drive parts matter. A steel-bodied applicator is better suited to repeated use and higher dispensing force than lightweight throwaway-grade guns. Combined with the dual-ratio mechanism, that makes this a more serious option for contractors and users who have already learned that a cheap caulk gun becomes the weak link fast.

Who is this for? The Tajima CNV-900RS Convoy RS Caulk Applicator makes the most sense for pros and serious DIY users who regularly work with sealants, adhesives, or other dense material and need more control than a basic caulk gun can provide. If you mainly run standard light-duty caulk once in a while, this may be more tool than you need. But if you deal with stubborn material, longer runs, and tight installation spaces, the switchable thrust and rotating handle are exactly the kind of features that pay off.

More Push When Material Fights Back

Not every tube behaves the same. The ratio switch lets you tune the applicator to the material so you are not overworking your hand on thick product or giving up control on lighter product.

• Switches between 8:1 and 16:1 thrust ratios
• Higher ratio is built to improve thrust for thick, viscous materials

Keep the Tube Where You Need It

The rotating handle is not a gimmick. It gives you better wrist position and better access when the work area is tight, awkward, or overhead.

• 360 rotating handle helps maneuver around corners and obstructions
• Contoured grip is designed for steadier, more comfortable use during long runs

Faster Prep and Reloads

When you are changing tubes during the day, small time savers matter. Tajima adds an extra-long seal puncture pin and an extra-long barrel to make loading and prep less of a chore.

• Extra-long puncture pin helps open sealed tubes quickly
• Extra-long barrel is designed for easier tube reloads

Built for Bigger Sealant Jobs

A 30 oz caulk gun is about getting through more material with fewer stops. For longer beads and higher-volume work, this size is a better match than a smaller light-duty applicator.

• Fits 30.4 fl oz (900 ml) cartridges
• Well suited for dispensing thick sealants and other dense material

Key Specifications

Pro Tip

Start on the 8:1 setting when you want a smoother, more controlled bead, then bump up to 16:1 when the material gets stubborn. That keeps your trigger pull more consistent instead of forcing every tube through the same ratio.
