Built for Hard Use The PC/ABS housing and shock-absorbing soft grip are there for one reason: this tape measure is made to handle drops, knocks, and daily jobsite abuse without feeling fragile in your hand. Easy-to-Read Blade Two-sided imperial markings make it easier to read the blade from different positions, which saves time when you're measuring overhead, along edges, or working solo. 26 ft Reach The Stabila BM 300 tape measure gives you a full 26 ft blade plus a rigid blade design that can extend up to 10 ft without buckling, so longer measurements are easier to manage by yourself.

Overview

The Stabila Tape Measure BM 300 26 Feet Inch is a professional-grade pocket tape built for daily measuring on active jobsites. This is a tape measure designed for everyday layout, cut marking, and general jobsite measuring. Model Number 30526. If you want a tape that feels more durable than bargain options and easier to trust in day-to-day use, this one is built around housing strength, blade protection, and clear readout.

What matters most here is not just the 26 ft length, but how usable the blade is in real work. The blade has scales on both sides for easier visibility from different angles, which helps when you're checking dimensions against a wall, reading from above, or reaching into awkward spots. It also offers a standout of up to 10 ft extension without buckling, which is the kind of detail that makes a difference when you're measuring alone and do not want the blade folding over halfway through the task.

Stabila built the BM 300 around durability first. The shatterproof PC/ABS housing and shock-absorbing soft grip casing are meant to take hard knocks, not just look rugged on a shelf. The NYLON-WRAP blade coating adds another layer of practical value by helping protect the blade against corrosion and wear. On a tape measure, blade protection matters because once the markings wear or the blade starts getting rough, accuracy and readability go downhill fast.

The hook design is another real selling point. The STABILA SPIKES hook is made to improve grip and help reduce slipping on the workpiece. It also has an extra-large hook and an integrated eyelet in the hook to help keep the blade from slipping during use. That adds up to a tape that is easier to set, hold, and trust when you are working off an edge or measuring by yourself.

Stabila also paid attention to the small things that decide whether a tape is annoying or genuinely useful. The curved brake switch is designed for more comfortable stopping and locking of the blade, and the rounded STABILA EASY-CLIP is easier on belts and pockets when you carry it all day. Those are not flashy features, but they are exactly the kind of details pros notice after a week of constant use.

For layout work, the printed 16 in and 19.2 in stud markers are a nice practical touch, especially for framing and post-and-beam spacing. The blade uses an imperial scale and is two-sided, so the tape stays simple and familiar for users who work in inch-based layouts and want fast readout without flipping the blade around to find the markings they need.

The Stabila BM 300 tape measure is a strong fit for carpenters, remodelers, general contractors, and serious DIY users who want a tougher everyday tape measure with better blade protection and easier readability than entry-level tapes. If your tape gets clipped on and off all day, dropped on the floor, dragged across material, and used for repeated layout work, this is the type of build that makes sense.

Carry It All Day Without Babying It

This is the kind of pocket tape meant to live on your belt, not sit in a drawer. The easy-clip design and impact-resistant housing are built for constant carry and constant use.

• Rounded STABILA EASY-CLIP is designed for convenient attachment to a belt or pocket
• PC/ABS housing with shock-absorbing soft grip helps protect the tape from hard knocks

Read the Blade Faster From More Angles

Two-sided markings sound simple, but they make real-world measuring quicker. You spend less time twisting the blade around to read the numbers and more time getting the cut marked.

• Imperial scale with markings on both sides for better visibility
• Printed 16 in and 19.2 in stud markers help speed up framing and layout work

More Control at the Hook End

A tape is only as useful as the way it starts and stops. The hook and brake setup on the BM 300 is aimed at giving you a more secure grab on material and more controlled stopping when you pull out the blade.

• STABILA SPIKES hook helps reduce slipping on the workpiece
• Curved brake switch allows controlled blade stopping and locking

Pro Tip

If you are laying out framing repeatedly, use the printed 16 in and 19.2 in markers instead of doing the math every time. It is a small time-saver, but across a full day of layout work it keeps mistakes down and speeds up your marks.
