Key Features

3-Blade Changeable Cutting Head A field-changeable 3-blade head cuts clean radius and straight chamfers, and lets you swap in a fresh blade set instead of replacing the whole tool when edges dull. Adjustable Depth Flange Scale A built-in depth flange scale lets you dial in and repeat a precise chamfer depth pass after pass, instead of eyeballing every cut. Cuts Down to 0.27-in. Diameter Rated for a minimum cut diameter of 0.27 in. and material as thin as 0.1 in., so it reaches small-radius work standard grinders can't touch.

Overview

The SP Air SP-7252F Air Mini Beveler is a pneumatic palm-size beveling tool designed for deburring and chamfering small-diameter metal and plastic edges where a full-size grinder or router won't fit. Built by SP Air Corporation, a Vessel Co., Inc. brand, it runs at a free speed of 23,000 RPM on 2.5 CFM of air, cutting both radius and straight 1/16-in. chamfers in a single pass.

The core of the tool is its 3-blade cutting head. The blades are field-changeable, so a dulled or damaged edge is a quick swap rather than a tool replacement, and separate radius (252-R1.5) or 45-degree straight (252-C1.5) blade sets let you match the head to the joint prep the job calls for. A depth flange scale on the nose lets you set and repeat an exact cutting depth across a run of parts instead of guessing on every pass.

At 4-3/8 in. long and 0.9 lbs, the SP-7252F is built to work one-handed in places a two-handed grinder or router can't reach tight radii, small tube ends, and confined bevels down to a 0.27-in. minimum cut diameter and 0.1-in. minimum material thickness. Sound output is rated at 81.5 dB, in line with other compact pneumatic finishing tools in its class.

SP Air markets the SP-7252F for fabrication, marine, and automotive work alongside general industrial deburring the kind of edge-prep and weld-prep tasks where a bench grinder is overkill and a hand file is too slow.

It's built for fabricators, welders, and metalworkers who do enough radius and straight chamfering to justify a dedicated palm tool anyone deburring small-diameter tube, sheet edges, or fitted parts by hand today and wants to do it faster and more consistently.

Precision Edge Prep, One Hand at a Time

The 3-blade cutting head is the reason this tool exists: it turns edge-breaking and chamfering into a controlled, repeatable pass instead of a freehand grind.

• Field-changeable blades no need to retire the tool when an edge dulls
• Separate radius and 45-degree straight blade sets available for different joint preps

Set It Once, Repeat the Cut

The depth flange scale takes the guesswork out of matching chamfer depth across a batch of parts.

• Adjustable flange sets and holds a fixed cutting depth
• Consistent bevel depth part-to-part without re-measuring every pass

Built for Tight Access

At 4-3/8 in. long, the compact body fits into spots where a die grinder or angle grinder simply won't seat flat.

• Palm-size body for genuine one-hand control
• Reaches a minimum cut diameter of 0.27 in.

Real Fabrication Work

SP Air positions the SP-7252F for fabrication, marine, and automotive shops, plus general industrial deburring anywhere a clean chamfer or broken edge matters before welding, coating, or assembly.

• Rated for material down to 0.1 in. thick
• Handles both radius and straight bevel profiles

Pro Tip

Match the blade set to the joint, not the closest one on the bench: run the 252-C1.5 45-degree straight blades for flat weld-prep bevels, and switch to the 252-R1.5 radius blades when you need a rounded, non-catching edge on a finished part.

Tool Nut's Take

Tool Nut's Take

A Grinder-Sized Job, Done Palm-Size

The SP-7252F Air Mini Beveler puts controlled, repeatable chamfers within reach in spots a full-size grinder never will.

• Who it's for: Fabricators, welders, and metalworkers who need clean, consistent edge prep on small-diameter or tight-access parts.
• Why it stands out: A field-changeable 3-blade head and a depth flange scale turn freehand deburring into a repeatable process.
• Worth knowing: SP Air doesn't publish an air pressure or hose size spec for this tool check with Tool Nut before ordering fittings if that matters for your setup.

Common Questions

• What's the smallest diameter the SP-7252F can bevel? It's rated for a minimum cut diameter of 0.27 in. and material as thin as 0.1 in.
• Can the blades be replaced? Yes. The 3-blade head is field-changeable, with radius (252-R1.5) and 45-degree straight (252-C1.5) blade sets sold separately.
• Is this a one-handed tool? Yes at 4-3/8 in. long and 0.9 lbs, it's built for one-hand palm operation.
• How much air does it use? 2.5 CFM at its rated free speed of 23,000 RPM.
