Key Features

Early Entry Control Built for green concrete cutting with the SKIL walk-behind saw platform, this attachment helps you get in early while the slab is still workable. That matters when timing is tight and clean joint control is the goal. 1-1/2 In. Cut Depth The 1-1/2 inch cutting depth is matched to early-entry joint work, so you can score control joints without overcutting. It is set up for the kind of shallow slab work this system is meant to do. Stainless Build Stainless steel construction gives the attachment the durability needed for abrasive concrete work and jobsite handling. That is the kind of detail you want on an accessory that rides close to dust, slurry, and fresh slab conditions.

Overview

The SKIL SPT5007-EA Concrete Saw Green Cut Early Entry Attachment Kit is an early entry concrete saw attachment made for the SKIL SPT79A-10 7 inch walk-behind worm drive saw. This is a concrete saw attachment designed for green concrete cutting and early control-joint work. Model Number: SPT5007-EA. If you are cutting fresh concrete and need a setup built for shallow, controlled passes instead of full-depth slab cutting, this is the right kind of accessory.

What matters here is purpose-built function. The kit is designed to enable green cutting on the SPT79A-10 platform, with a stated cutting depth of 1-1/2 inches. That puts it in the right range for early-entry joint cutting, where the goal is to control cracking by getting joints in at the right time, not to brute-force through cured concrete. The included 7 inch segmented green cutting concrete blade is matched to that job, and the blade itself is marked for dry cutting and a maximum speed of 8,700 RPM.

SKIL also did not treat this like a throw-in accessory. The attachment uses stainless steel construction, which makes sense on a part that works low to the slab and takes constant exposure to abrasive dust and rough handling. The kit includes the compression skid plate with anti-spalling slot, which is the kind of detail that matters on early-entry work because edge quality is the whole point. If the slab chips out, you did not save time, you just created patch work.

The rest of the package is about getting the saw set up correctly. A 1-1/2 inch depth stop helps keep the cut consistent, and the wheel assembly hardware is included so the attachment can be fitted as intended. That is important because early-entry cutting is one of those jobs where setup matters as much as raw cutting ability. A tool that tracks cleanly and holds depth predictably is worth more than one that just spins a blade fast.

Compatibility is straightforward. This kit is specifically for the SKIL SPT79A-10 7 inch walk-behind worm drive saw. That clear fitment is a good thing. You are not guessing whether it will work with a range of generic saws or trying to adapt something that was never designed for the machine. If you already run the SPT79A-10 and need to handle green concrete cutting, this is the factory-matched setup.

Who should buy it? Concrete contractors, flatwork crews, and anyone responsible for slab control joints using the SKIL walk-behind saw system. It also makes sense for crews that want a dedicated early-entry attachment instead of piecing together a workaround. If you do not own the SPT79A-10, this is not the product to improvise with. If you do own that saw and need a clean, purpose-built green concrete cutting setup, this kit is the practical way to get there.

Pro Tip

Use the included depth stop to set the saw before you hit the slab. On early-entry work, consistent shallow depth is what keeps joints clean and controlled, and it helps you avoid turning a control cut into unnecessary rework.
