15 Amp PowerThe 15 amp motor drives the blade at 4,800 RPM, giving this sliding miter saw the speed needed for clean, repeatable cuts in framing lumber, trim, and molding. Dual Bevel CutsDual bevel capability helps you make left and right bevel cuts without constantly flipping the workpiece, which saves time when you're working through trim or finish jobs. Shadow Line AccuracyThe LED shadow line shows exactly where the blade will cut, giving you a more trustworthy reference than a typical laser and helping reduce setup mistakes.

Overview

The SKIL MS6305-00 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw is a corded sliding compound miter saw built for trim work, framing cuts, and general jobsite crosscutting. This is a miter saw designed for accurate angled and bevel cuts in lumber and molding. Model Number: MS6305-00. If you need one saw that can handle everyday construction material, common finish angles, and wider boards without jumping to a larger 12 inch platform, this one makes a lot of sense.

At the core is a 15 amp motor paired with a 4,800 RPM no-load speed. In real use, that means the saw has the muscle to stay productive through framing lumber, dimensional stock, and trim material while still giving you the blade speed needed for cleaner cut quality. SKIL also rates it for crosscutting up to 2 x 12 lumber at 90 degrees and 2 x 8 lumber at 45 degrees, which is the kind of capacity that matters when you're deciding whether a 10 inch sliding miter saw can cover your day-to-day work without stepping up in size.

The dual bevel setup is one of the stronger reasons to buy this saw over a simpler single bevel model. It gives you positive stop positions at 48 degrees and 45 degrees left, 0 degrees, and 45 degrees right. That matters most on trim and finish work, where flipping material over every other cut slows you down and creates more chances to get orientation wrong. On the miter side, the saw cuts up to 50 degrees left and right and uses 11 positive stops at commonly used angles, backed by a stainless-steel miter plate with 9 detents and a cam miter lock knob for repeatable adjustments.

Accuracy features are where this saw gets especially practical. The LED shadow line is a better real-world guide than a basic laser because it shows the actual blade path instead of a projected guess that can drift out of alignment. If you're cutting casing, base, or anything else where your eye goes straight to the joint, that kind of cut-line reference is worth having. The slide rail system uses linear bearings for smooth travel, which helps keep long crosscuts controlled instead of feeling rough or sloppy through the stroke.

SKIL also paid attention to jobsite handling. The horizontal grip handle uses a center-located safety trigger, so left- and right-handed users can run the saw comfortably without feeling like the controls were designed for only one side. Tall sliding fences support up to 4-1/2 in. base molding vertically and 6-1/4 in. crown molding vertically nested, which gives finish carpenters and remodelers more support on taller trim profiles. A quick work clamp helps lock stock down faster for safer, more controlled cuts, and the built-in carrying handle makes the saw easier to move between bench, truck, and room-to-room setup.

Dust handling is straightforward. The saw includes a dust bag, and supplementary specifications call out chute-style dust handling. That will help collect some debris at the saw, but like most jobsite miter saws, you should still expect cleanup when cutting a lot of framing lumber or trim indoors. The electric brake is another practical feature that matters more than it sounds on paper, because it stops the blade faster between cuts and helps keep the workflow moving.

The SKIL MS6305-00 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw is best suited for carpenters, remodelers, deck builders, punch-list contractors, and serious DIY users who want sliding capacity and dual bevel flexibility without going to a bulkier saw. It is a strong fit for users cutting framing lumber, base, casing, crown, and general construction stock. If your work is mostly trim, renovation, and common-angle cutting, this saw gives you the features that actually save time: good cut capacity, reliable angle stops, a useful cut-line system, and handling that is easy to live with on the job.

Why the SKIL MS6305-00 10 in. Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw Earns Bench Space

This is the kind of saw that hits the sweet spot for users who want real capacity and dual bevel convenience without paying for more saw than they need.

• Who it's for: Contractors, remodelers, trim carpenters, and serious DIY users cutting framing stock, base, casing, and molding on a regular basis.
• Why it stands out: You get a strong 15 amp motor, sliding 2 x 12 crosscut capacity, dual bevel flexibility, and an LED shadow line that is more useful than the basic laser systems found on a lot of saws in this class.
• Worth knowing: It is corded, so you're trading battery freedom for steady output, and dust collection is still what you'd expect from a jobsite miter saw, good enough to help but not shop-vac clean on its own.
