Key Features

Skin Contact SafetyThe SawStop safety system stops the blade on contact with skin and drops it below the table in less than 5 milliseconds. That matters in a real shop because a bad mistake can stay a close call instead of becoming a life-changing injury. 52 Inch Rip CapacityThis cabinet saw is built around a 52 inch Industrial T-Glide fence system with a large extension table and heavy-gauge rails. You get the support and fence stability needed for sheet goods, long rips, and repeatable square cuts without fence deflection. Dust Control That WorksAbove-table collection through the included blade guard and below-table shrouding help keep the cut line clearer and the shop cleaner. On a full-time production saw, that means less cleanup and better visibility while cutting.

Overview

The SawStop ICS51230-TGI252 Industrial 5HP, 1ph, 230v Cabinet Saw with 52 inch Industrial T-Glide Rip Fence, Rails & Extension Table is a heavy-duty 10 inch cabinet saw built for professional woodworking shops, school labs, and serious production environments that need power, accuracy, and a safer setup at the center of the shop. This is a cabinet saw designed for precision ripping, crosscutting, and sheet goods processing in demanding woodworking use. Model Number: ICS51230-TGI252.

At the core of this SawStop table saw is a 5 horsepower, single-phase, 230 volt TEFC motor paired with a 10 inch blade and a full-size industrial cabinet platform. That combination gives you the muscle for hardwood ripping, thick stock, and all-day use without stepping down to a lighter contractor-style machine. The left-tilt blade layout, 3-1/8 inch max depth of cut at 0 degrees, and 2-1/4 inch max depth at 45 degrees cover the bread-and-butter work a serious cabinet saw sees every day.

What separates this saw from a lot of other industrial table saws is that it is not just powerful, it is built to stay accurate under load. The 52 inch Industrial T-Glide fence system uses heavy-gauge steel and gives you a large working envelope with smooth travel, clear measurement, and a solid lock-down feel. When you are breaking down large panels or making repeated rip cuts, a fence that stays square and does not flex is not a luxury, it is the whole job.

The build is exactly what you want from an industrial cabinet saw. SawStop lists the saw-only weight at about 530 pounds, with assembled weight around 685 pounds when equipped with the 52 inch fence system. That mass, along with the cast iron table, extension wings, and industrial cabinet base, helps the saw stay planted during heavy cuts. The main tabletop with extension wings measures 44 inches wide by 30 inches deep, and the 40 inch by 30 inch extension table adds the support you need for wider stock and panel work.

Dust control is another place this machine earns its keep. The saw uses a 4 inch dust collection port below the table and an included dust collection blade guard with a smaller collection port above the blade. SawStop also calls out advanced shrouding around the blade for strong below-table collection. In practice, that means better visibility at the cut line, less dust settling over the saw, and a cleaner shop around the machine, which matters even more when this saw is used daily.

Safety is the headline feature, and rightly so. The SawStop safety system is the reason many shops choose this platform in the first place, but the rest of the safety package matters too. This ICS cabinet saw includes an integrated lock-out tag-out switch to help control access in shared shops, plus interlock switches on the motor access panels so the saw will not run if doors are unlatched. For commercial shops, school programs, and institutional settings, those details matter just as much as raw power.

From an accessory and setup standpoint, the saw uses a 5/8 inch arbor and includes a 40-tooth titanium series blade. It also accepts up to an 8 inch dado set with a maximum dado width of 29/32 inch, though SawStop specifies that a dado brake cartridge and dado insert are required. Miter slots are T-shaped, with a 3/4 inch top width, 1 inch bottom width, and 3/8 inch depth, so the saw is built around the kind of jigs, gauges, and repeat fixtures serious woodworkers actually use.

Who should buy it? If you run a cabinet shop, furniture shop, millwork operation, school program, or high-end home shop and want a full-size industrial cabinet saw with real mass, real fence capacity, and SawStop protection, this is the one to look at. If you only need occasional site work or want something easy to move around, this is overkill. But if your table saw is the backbone of the shop, the SawStop ICS51230-TGI252 is built like a machine you plan to keep for a long time.

Built for Full-Size Sheet Goods

This is the kind of cabinet saw setup that makes large material manageable instead of awkward. The long fence, extension table, and heavy cabinet base give you the support needed for wide panels and repeat rip cuts.

• 52-1/2 inch max rip capacity to the right of the blade with the 52 inch rail setup
• 12-1/2 inch max rip capacity to the left of the blade for smaller offside work
• 40 inch by 30 inch extension table supports larger stock during cutting

Dust Collection Above and Below the Table

Good dust collection is not just about cleanup. It helps keep the cut line visible, reduces buildup inside the cabinet, and makes long workdays around the saw easier on the shop.

• 4 inch cabinet dust port handles below-table extraction
• Included blade guard adds above-table dust collection
• Advanced shrouding around the blade improves chip capture where it starts

Industrial Build with SawStop Protection

This saw is more than a brake cartridge and a logo. Under the table, it is built like a true industrial machine with the mass, arbor system, and drive hardware expected in a production cabinet saw.

• 5 HP, 1 phase, 230V, 19.7A motor configuration
• Arbor runout rated to a maximum allowable 0.001 inch
• Approximate assembled weight with 52 inch fence system is 685 lbs
