Gas Power Anywhere The Rolair 4090HK17-0001 9.3 CFM Wheeled Gas Compressor runs on a 5.5 HP Honda engine, so you can keep air on site without hunting for power. That matters on framing sites, service calls, and any outdoor job where extension cords are just in the way. Jobsite Air Output With 9.3 CFM at 90 PSI and a 135 PSI maximum pressure rating, this wheeled gas compressor is built to support a range of air-powered tools. You get usable air delivery that helps tools stay consistent instead of waiting on recovery. Built to Move The wheelbarrow-style layout, steel twin tanks, and rugged construction make this a practical compressor for crews that load in, load out, and work outside. It is easier to move than a stationary shop unit and tougher than light-duty homeowner compressors.

Overview

The Rolair 4090HK17-0001 9.3 CFM Wheeled Gas Compressor is a gas-powered twin tank air compressor for outdoor jobsite air delivery. This is a gas air compressor designed for powering pneumatic tools where corded electric power is not practical or not available. Model Number: 4090HK17-0001. If you need a compressor that can ride in the truck, roll onto the site, and feed air tools without relying on a generator or wall outlet, this is the kind of setup that makes sense.

The numbers are what make it relevant on the job. This unit delivers 9.3 CFM at 90 PSI with a 135 PSI maximum pressure rating, backed by a 5.5 HP Honda engine. That gives you the kind of output contractors look for when they need more than occasional trim duty. It is meant for real work, not just airing up tires or running a pin nailer once in a while.

Rolair pairs that Honda engine with an oil-lubricated single-stage pump and an intercooler to help reduce heat and support longer service life. In plain terms, heat is what beats up compressors, especially on long runs. A pump setup built to manage temperature is a big deal if the compressor is going to live in the back of a truck and earn its keep day after day. The atmospheric unloading system also helps maximize fuel efficiency, which matters when the machine is running off gasoline instead of wall power.

This compressor is built with steel twin side-by-side tanks in a 9-gallon configuration and a wheelbarrow-style layout for portability. It is also a horizontal design, which keeps the package stable when loading, unloading, or moving around uneven ground. At 174 lbs, it is not a featherweight, but that is the tradeoff for a heavier-duty gas compressor with a steel tank platform and a larger engine. This is the kind of unit you choose because you want dependable output and jobsite mobility, not because you need the lightest thing in the store.

Rolair also includes a few practical protections that matter in the real world. The Honda engine is described as easy-starting and includes low-oil shutdown to help prevent overheating damage. That is the sort of feature you appreciate after the compressor has bounced around in a trailer or sat through a long week of site work. The glass oil gauge also makes routine checks quicker, so it is easier to stay ahead of maintenance instead of guessing.

The Rolair 4090HK17-0001 9.3 CFM Wheeled Gas Compressor is best suited for contractors, remodelers, and crews who need portable compressed air outdoors. It fits users who work from trucks, move between sites, or need a pneumatic tool setup where electric compressors are too limiting. If you are shopping for a gas-powered air compressor because your work happens outside and downtime costs money, this model is built around that exact use case.

Portable Air for Remote Jobsites

This setup is built for crews that need compressed air where power is limited or nonexistent. A gas compressor like this keeps you working off the truck instead of building your whole day around outlet access.

• 5.5 HP Honda engine for self-contained air power
• Wheelbarrow-style design for easier transport around the site
• Outdoor-rated use case based on gas-powered operation

Built to Run Cooler

The pump design is not just a spec line. The single-stage oil-lubricated pump and intercooler are there to manage heat, and that usually means better durability when the compressor sees regular use.

• Single-stage pump with intercooler to reduce operating heat
• Oil-lubricated design for serviceable, contractor-grade operation
• Atmospheric unloading system helps improve fuel efficiency

Heavy-Duty Compressor Layout

The twin-tank horizontal layout gives this compressor a stable base and a footprint that works well for truck transport and rough site conditions. It is a practical design for people who use compressors as equipment, not as occasional garage tools.

• 9-gallon twin side-by-side steel tank configuration
• Horizontal operating position for stable placement
• Steel construction for jobsite durability
