Complete Sanding Station You are not piecing this setup together one part at a time. This system brings the sander, dust extractor, hose, and workstation into one coordinated package so you can get a dust-controlled sanding setup on the floor faster. Pneumatic 6 Inch Sanding The Mirka 6" Dust-Free Work Station System (pneumatic/5mm) - Gen II is built around a pneumatic random orbital sander with a 6 inch pad and 5 mm orbit. That makes it a practical fit for broad surface sanding where consistent scratch pattern and control matter. Dust Under Control The included DEXOS full-capacity dust extractor and 18 foot coaxial hose help keep sanding dust moving away from the work area. Cleaner air, cleaner surfaces, and less cleanup at the end of the job is the whole point here.

Overview

The Mirka 6" Dust-Free Work Station System (pneumatic/5mm) - Gen II, Model MUSDF-6WSP52, is a complete mobile sanding and dust extraction setup for shops that want cleaner surface prep and a more organized workflow. This is a dust-free work station system designed for pneumatic sanding with integrated dust extraction. If you already know the value of keeping sanding dust off the panel, off the floor, and out of the air, this package is aimed right at you.

At the center of the system is a Mirka PROS pneumatic random orbital sander with a 6 inch pad and 5 mm orbit. In practical terms, that combination is well suited for general-purpose sanding where you need solid coverage without giving up control. The 6 inch format covers material efficiently, while the 5 mm orbit is a common sweet spot for productive surface prep and finishing steps that still need a predictable result.

This system matters because it is not just a sander and not just an extractor. It is a coordinated workstation built to keep the tool, suction, hose management, and hand sanding accessories together in one place. That saves time walking back and forth for gear, reduces clutter around the workpiece, and makes it easier to keep a dedicated sanding station ready for the next panel, cabinet part, or prep area.

The included DEXOS full-capacity dust extractor is a big part of the value here. Dust extraction is not just about housekeeping. It helps keep abrasives cutting better, reduces the amount of dust settling back onto the surface, and makes rework less likely when you are chasing a clean finish. For anyone doing repeated sanding through the day, that cleaner process adds up in both time and material savings.

The 18 foot coaxial hose gives the system room to move without constantly repositioning the extractor and station. That extra reach is useful in real shop conditions where the work does not always sit in one neat spot. A longer hose setup also helps the station stay parked where it belongs while the operator moves around the work area with less interruption.

Mirka also built this as a work station system, not a pile of loose components. The mobile stand and organized layout are there for a reason. When the extractor, hose, sanding gear, and hand sanding items all live together, setup and teardown are simpler and the whole sanding process gets more repeatable. That is especially useful in busy body shops, refinishing spaces, and production environments where wasted motion turns into lost time fast.

This Mirka sanding system makes the most sense for users who want a dedicated dust-controlled sanding station rather than a basic standalone sander. It is a strong fit for automotive refinishing, woodworking shops, composite work, and other finishing environments where surface quality and cleanliness matter. If your shop runs pneumatic sanders already and you want a more complete, mobile solution, this package is the practical way to get there.

Why the Mirka 6" Dust-Free Work Station System (pneumatic/5mm) - Gen II earns its floor space

This is the kind of setup that makes sense when sanding is a real part of your workflow, not an occasional task.

• Who it's for: Shops and serious users who want a dedicated pneumatic sanding station with built-in dust extraction and better organization.
• Why it stands out: You are getting a coordinated Mirka system, not just a standalone sander. The extractor, hose, workstation, and hand sanding components make it easier to keep the whole process clean and ready to go.
• Worth knowing: This is a bigger commitment than buying a sander by itself, but that is exactly the point. If dust control, mobility, and workflow matter in your shop, the complete station is where the value shows up.
