Overview

The Milwaukee PROMO 48-11-2425 M12 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT CP 2.5Ah Battery is a compact battery pack for Milwaukee cordless tools on the M12 platform. This is a battery pack designed for powering M12 cordless tools in service, installation, repair, and general jobsite work. Model Number: 48-11-2425. If you already use M12 tools and want a battery that keeps the setup light without stepping down to a minimal-capacity pack, this is the kind of battery that fits that job.

The big story here is balance. A 2.5Ah battery is a practical middle ground for users who care about runtime but do not want to make a compact drill, impact driver, inspection tool, or installer setup feel nose-light or awkward in the hand. For a lot of M12 users, that matters more than chasing the biggest possible pack. A battery that matches the size and feel of the tool usually makes everyday fastening and service work easier.

Milwaukee positions this as part of the REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT line, which tells you where it belongs in the lineup. It is meant for users who want stronger cordless performance from the M12 system while keeping the package compact. That makes it a smart fit for tradesmen and serious DIY users who reach for M12 tools because they work in tight spots, overhead, inside cabinets, around electrical panels, or in finished spaces where tool size matters.

From a jobsite practicality standpoint, a compact M12 battery pack is usually the right answer when you are moving from task to task instead of standing in one spot all day. It keeps your tool easier to holster, easier to fit into a service bag, and less tiring to use when you are working above shoulder height. On smaller cordless tools, that can make a real difference over the course of a full day.

System fit is straightforward. This battery is built around the Milwaukee M12 battery platform, so it is for users already invested in M12 cordless tools and chargers. That platform matters because it lets you stay within one battery family across a wide range of compact tools instead of mixing chargers and packs from different systems.

Who should buy it? This battery makes the most sense for electricians, HVAC techs, maintenance crews, plumbers, service techs, punch-list contractors, and homeowners who already use Milwaukee M12 tools and want a compact pack with more substance than an entry-level battery. If your priority is keeping the tool small, fast to grab, and easy to control, a compact high output battery pack like this is usually the smarter buy than a larger battery.
