Overview

The Milwaukee 3675-20 M18 FUEL Rebar Cutter is a cordless rebar cutter built for reinforcing ironworkers and other trades cutting steel rod on active jobsites. This is a rebar cutter designed for fast, controlled cutting of steel reinforcing bar. Model Number 3675-20. If you need to cut rebar without the extra sparks, dust, and wheel wear that come with abrasive cutting, this tool is aimed right at that job.

Milwaukee rates this tool for 2 second cuts in #5 rebar and the ability to cut up to #10, 1-1/4 inch rebar. That combination is the real selling point. Smaller bar gets cut quickly enough to keep pace with layout and install work, while the larger capacity means the tool still has a place when the job shifts to heavier reinforcing steel. The 2,000 RPM POWERSTATE brushless motor is there for one reason: consistent cutting power without the maintenance and wear points of a brushed motor.

Where this tool separates itself from a typical grinder setup is the cutting method. Milwaukee's rebar cutting blade uses carbide teeth and makes cold cuts with less sparks than an abrasive wheel. That matters when you're working around finished surfaces, staged material, or tighter work zones where hot sparks are a problem. Milwaukee also calls out an optional Cut-Brake function that automatically brakes the blade to reduce the risk of damaging sensitive materials near the cut.

Day-to-day usability is clearly part of the design. The barrel grip body keeps the tool balanced for horizontal and angled cuts, while the paddle switch makes it easier to run in different hand positions. The adjustable 3-position anti-vibration side handle gives you more control depending on where the bar is set and how much clearance you have around the cut. Milwaukee also includes an adjustable shoe, a front debris chute, and hinged blade access with on-board storage for the hex wrench, so blade changes are less of a chore.

For jobsite control and tool tracking, this rebar cutter is ONE-KEY enabled. For crews managing a lot of cordless tools, that can be a big deal. It also runs on the Milwaukee M18 battery system, so users already invested in M18 packs and chargers are not buying into a one-off platform. Milwaukee states up to 240 cuts per charge in #5 rebar when paired with an M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0 battery. This listing is a bare tool, so the battery and charger are sold separately.

At 6.9 lb tool only, the Milwaukee 3675-20 M18 FUEL Rebar Cutter is still substantial enough to feel planted in the cut, but it is far easier to move around the site than corded cutting setups. Add in RAPIDSTOP braking, overload protection, an integrated tether attachment, and an LED worklight, and you get a tool built for real field use rather than shop-only conditions.

This is a smart buy for reinforcing ironworkers, concrete crews, bridge and civil contractors, and fabrication teams that regularly cut rebar on site. It is not a general-purpose metal saw and it is not meant to replace every cutoff tool you own. It is a specialty cutting tool for crews that cut reinforcing bar often enough to care about speed, cleaner cuts, battery platform compatibility, and less mess around the work area.

Designed Around Rebar Cutting, Not Grinder Workarounds

This tool is purpose-built for cutting rebar cleanly and quickly, which is why it feels different from using a grinder with the wrong wheel for the job. The layout, handle position, braking system, and dedicated blade all work toward controlled steel cutting.

Milwaukee 3675-20 M18 FUEL Rebar Cutter for crews that cut bar all day

The Milwaukee 3675-20 M18 FUEL Rebar Cutter makes the most sense for people who are actually cutting rebar regularly, because it saves time, cuts cleaner than abrasives, and fits right into the M18 system.

• Who it's for: Reinforcing ironworkers, concrete crews, and contractors who want a dedicated cordless rebar cutting tool instead of relying on a grinder.
• Why it stands out: 2 second cuts in #5 bar, up to #10 capacity, less sparks than abrasive cutting, and smart jobsite features like RAPIDSTOP, Cut-Brake, anti-vibration handle positions, and ONE-KEY.
