Key Features

Hits Harder Than 18 lb Corded This cordless demolition hammer delivers 11.4 ft-lbs (15.5 J) of impact energy, out-hitting 18 lb corded demo hammers without dragging a cord or hunting for an outlet. 1/3 Ton Per Charge Paired with the included M18 FUEL REDLITHIUM FORGE HD12.0 batteries, it removes about 1/3 ton of material per charge. With two packs in the box, one charges while the other works. VACLINK Wireless Dust Control Pull the trigger and a compatible dust extractor turns on with it. No walking back to the vac, and better dust control on concrete chipping jobs. AVS Anti-Vibration System Cuts the vibration that reaches your hands and arms, so long chipping sessions on floors and walls wear you down less. Multiple Speed Settings Dial the hit rate down for controlled work near finished edges, or run it wide open for heavy breakout. ONE-KEY Tool Tracking Track and manage the hammer across jobsites with ONE-KEY, which protects a high-dollar tool and simplifies inventory.

Overview

Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18 lb SDS MAX Demolition Hammer Kit w/ ONE-KEY (3018-22HD)

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18 lb SDS MAX Demolition Hammer Kit w/ ONE-KEY, model 3018-22HD, is a cordless demolition hammer for professional chipping and breaking. This is an SDS MAX demolition hammer designed for controlled demolition of concrete floors, walls, and columns. The kit includes the hammer, two M18 FUEL REDLITHIUM FORGE HD12.0 batteries, and an M18/M12 Rapid Charger, so it is ready for the jobsite out of the box.

Power is the headline. The POWERSTATE brushless motor drives 11.4 ft-lbs (15.5 J) of impact energy at up to 2,625 blows per minute, and Milwaukee rates it to hit harder than 18 lb corded demolition hammers. In practice, a cordless tool takes on the chipping work crews have kept corded tools around for: breaking out slab sections, removing tile and mortar beds, chipping column faces, and opening walls for plumbing and electrical runs.

Runtime is what makes cordless demolition practical. With the FORGE HD12.0 battery, the 3018-22HD removes about 1/3 ton of material per charge. Two batteries come in the kit, so you can rotate packs on the Rapid Charger and keep working. REDLINK PLUS intelligence manages communication between the tool and battery to optimize performance and protect both from overload.

Control matters as much as force on demolition. Multiple speed settings let you lower the hit rate when you need precision, such as scoring along a line or working next to concrete you need to keep. Chisel adjustment lets you index the bit to the angle the job needs instead of twisting your body to match the tool. An ergonomic side handle gives you a stable second grip for chipping, and an LED work light lights up the surface in dim mechanical rooms and basements.

The AVS Anti-Vibration System reduces the vibration that reaches your hands and arms, which matters on all-day demolition. On dust, VACLINK wireless dust control lets the hammer switch on a compatible dust extractor directly from the tool, which helps on concrete jobs where silica dust control is part of the work plan.

The hammer runs on the Milwaukee M18 battery platform and accepts all SDS MAX accessories, including the SDS MAX Side Load Ground Rod Driver, so the points, chisels, and specialty bits you already own carry over. ONE-KEY compatibility adds tool tracking and inventory management, so you can see where the hammer is and protect the investment across multiple jobsites.

Who should buy it: concrete contractors, general contractors, remodelers, plumbers, and electricians who do regular chipping and breaking and want corded-class demolition without generator or cord hassles. Weighing 17.4 lbs without the battery (20.5 lbs with it), it is a full-size SDS MAX demolition hammer built for production work, not occasional light chipping.

Built for Controlled Demolition

Breaking concrete fast only helps if you can stop where you need to. This demolition hammer gives you power plus the controls to place it.

• 11.4 ft-lbs (15.5 J) of impact energy from a POWERSTATE brushless motor

Pro Tip

Start cuts on a lower speed setting to seat the chisel and score your line, then turn it up once the bit has bite. Let the 11.4 ft-lbs do the work. Leaning on a demo hammer won't break more concrete, it just wears you out faster.

Warranty & Support

Cut the Cord on Real Demolition

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18 lb SDS MAX Demolition Hammer Kit is a cordless tool that hits harder than an 18 lb corded demolition hammer, and that makes corded hammers optional on most chipping jobs.

• Who it's for: Concrete, remodel, and mechanical trades that break out slabs, walls, and columns often enough to justify a dedicated demolition hammer.
• Why it stands out: 11.4 ft-lbs of impact energy, 1/3 ton of material per charge on FORGE HD12.0, and VACLINK dust control in one cordless package, plus two big batteries in the box.
• Worth knowing: This is a chipping and breaking tool, not a rotary hammer for drilling. At 20.5 lbs with the battery, it is a production tool and overkill for occasional tile removal.

Common Questions

• Can the 3018-22HD drill holes? No. It is a demolition hammer built for chipping and breaking. Its rated maximum rotation speed is 0 RPM. For drilling in concrete, use an SDS MAX rotary hammer.
• How does it compare to a corded demo hammer? Milwaukee rates it to hit harder than 18 lb corded demolition hammers, with 11.4 ft-lbs (15.5 J) of impact energy.
• How much can it remove on one battery? About 1/3 ton of material per charge with the M18 FUEL REDLITHIUM FORGE HD12.0 battery. Two are included.
• Will my existing SDS MAX chisels fit? Yes. It accepts all SDS MAX accessories, including the SDS MAX Side Load Ground Rod Driver.
• What is the warranty? 5-year limited warranty on the tool and 3-year limited warranty on the batteries.
