Reach Deep Fasteners The extended-reach layout gets the Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3/8" Extended Reach Ratchet Kit into deeper engine bays and tighter assemblies while giving you more leverage for manual breakaway. Power With Speed Up to 70 ft-lbs of max torque and 400 RPM means it can break loose stubborn fasteners and then run them down quicker, so you spend less time wrenching by hand. Built For Comfort A contoured grip, raised forward and reverse shuttle, and interchangeable button and paddle trigger caps let you set the tool up the way your hand actually wants to use it.

Overview

The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3/8" Extended Reach Ratchet Kit is a cordless ratchet built for mechanics, service techs, and anyone working around packed assemblies where a standard ratchet or bulkier powered tool gets hung up. This is a cordless ratchet designed for fastening and removing nuts and bolts in tight, deep-access spaces. Model Number 3059-21. If you spend your day inside engine bays, under dashboards, around brackets, or in maintenance work where clearance is always the problem, this tool matters because it gives you extra reach without giving up head access.

What separates this ratchet from a basic powered option is the combination of reach, torque, and working speed. Milwaukee rates it at up to 70 ft-lbs of max torque and 400 RPM, which is the kind of balance that helps on real jobs. You can break away a stubborn fastener, then move right into faster removal and installation without switching tools or spending the next minute spinning hardware by hand. That means less wasted movement on repetitive fastening work and less knuckle-busting when the fastener is buried behind hoses, wiring, or frame members.

The extended-reach design is the whole point here, but Milwaukee did not build it as a long, clumsy ratchet. The brand calls out its compact head and body size, and that matters because extra length only helps if the working end still fits where the job is. Keeping a 3/8 inch head profile while stretching the reach gives you better access into deeper applications and more leverage when you need to manually break a fastener loose before powering through the rest of the cycle.

On the motor side, this tool uses a POWERSTATE brushless motor. In plain terms, that means more efficient power delivery and better durability than an entry-level brushed setup. Milwaukee also includes REDLINK PLUS intelligence, which is there to protect the tool and battery from overload and overheating. That is not just spec-sheet filler. On a cordless ratchet that gets used around seized hardware and repetitive service work, electronic protection helps keep performance consistent and helps the tool survive the kind of use that actually kills tools.

Milwaukee also put real thought into day-to-day comfort. The contoured grip is there for a reason: ratchets get used for long stretches, often one-handed, often at awkward angles. A grip that settles into your hand reduces fatigue over a full day of wrenching. The modular trigger setup is another smart touch. This kit includes both a button cap and a paddle cap, so you can choose the trigger feel and grip point that works better for the way you hold the tool in different positions.

Jobsite and shop practicality are covered too. A targeted LED light helps when you are working down low or behind components where overhead lighting does not reach. The raised forward and reverse shuttle makes direction changes easier without fumbling around the handle. Milwaukee also calls out a chemical-resistant housing to handle common oils, greases, and solvents, plus a metal-reinforced housing for added durability. There is also an integrated grease port for self-lubrication, which is a useful detail on a ratchet that is meant to see regular use.

This kit runs on the Milwaukee M12 system, so it fits right into a platform with more than 150 tools. That is a big deal if you are already on M12 because your existing batteries and chargers stay relevant across the lineup. In this package, Milwaukee includes an M12 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT CP2.5 battery and an M12 charger, so you are not starting from scratch. For a mechanic or technician who wants a ready-to-work kit, that makes this version easier to justify than a bare tool.

Who should buy it? If you work in automotive service, equipment maintenance, fleet work, installation, or repair jobs where fasteners are tucked into deep or crowded spaces, this is exactly the kind of cordless ratchet that earns its keep. It is also a strong upgrade for serious DIY users who are tired of hand ratchets in repetitive work. If your priority is compact access, solid fastening speed, and the convenience of the M12 battery platform, this kit makes a lot of sense.

Get Into Deep, Tight Spaces

The long neck and compact 3/8 inch head profile are what make this cordless ratchet useful where standard tools slow you down. It reaches farther into crowded assemblies without turning into an oversized tool that cannot actually fit the work area.

• Extended reach improves access in deep applications
• Compact head and body size help around tight clearances
• Extra leverage helps with manual breakaway torque

Ready to Work Out of the Box

Tool Nut's Take

Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3/8" Extended Reach Ratchet Kit Is the One You Grab for Real Access Problems

This is the kind of cordless ratchet that earns its spot when hand tools are too slow and bulkier powered ratchets still cannot get where the fastener lives.

• Who it's for: Mechanics, maintenance techs, installers, and serious DIY users who work around deep, crowded fastener locations.
• Why it stands out: You get extended reach, a compact 3/8 inch head profile, 70 ft-lbs of torque, 400 RPM, and a genuinely useful trigger setup with both button and paddle caps included.
• Worth knowing: The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3/8" Extended Reach Ratchet Kit is built around access and speed, not replacing every hand ratchet you own. For stubborn hardware, you will still use manual breakaway first, then let the tool save your time on the rest.
