Key Features

Built for the 3055-20 This Milwaukee ratchet protective boot is made specifically for the M12 FUEL 1/2 inch Extended Reach Ratchet 3055-20, so it fits right and protects without getting in the way. Shields Tool and Surface The form-fitting rubber design helps guard the ratchet housing and the surrounding work surface from scuffs, abrasion, and everyday contact in tight service work. Lightweight, Easy On-Off Flexible material makes installation and removal simple while adding very little bulk or weight, so the ratchet keeps its access in confined spaces.

Overview

The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 1/2 Inch Extended Reach Ratchet Protective Boot 49-16-3055 is a dedicated protective cover for the Milwaukee 3055-20 cordless ratchet. This is a ratchet protective boot designed for shielding the tool housing and nearby work surfaces during automotive and maintenance work. If you already rely on the extended reach ratchet in engine bays, suspension work, or service jobs where the tool is constantly brushing against metal, grime, and painted surfaces, this accessory helps take the abuse instead of the tool.

What matters here is the fit. Milwaukee built this boot specifically for the M12 FUEL 1/2 Inch Extended Reach Ratchet, not as a one-size-fits-most sleeve. That means it protects the working end of the tool while keeping the profile light and compact enough for the same tight-access jobs the ratchet was bought for in the first place. A bad boot adds bulk and gets tossed in a drawer. This one is meant to stay on the tool.

The rubber construction is designed to be lightweight, flexible, and durable. In real use, that translates to quick install and removal for cleanup, while still holding up around the oils, greases, solvents, and corrosive materials commonly found in maintenance environments. That is the kind of detail that matters if your ratchet spends more time under a vehicle than on a bench.

Just as important, the boot helps protect finished surfaces and surrounding components while you work. Extended reach ratchets are great for reaching deeper into assemblies, but that also means the tool body is more likely to contact brackets, painted parts, housings, and surrounding hardware. A form-fitting protective layer helps reduce marring and scuffing when space is tight and visibility is limited.

Milwaukee keeps this accessory small and light at about 0.05 lb, so you are not turning a compact service tool into something clumsy. The listed dimensions of 4.5 inches high, 1.5 inches long, and 1.8 inches wide show just how minimal the boot is. It is there to add protection, not to change how the ratchet handles.

This accessory is best suited for mechanics, fleet techs, industrial maintenance crews, and serious DIY users who already own the compatible ratchet and want to keep it in better shape over time. It is not a universal cover and it is not an upgrade for live electrical work. Milwaukee specifically notes that it is not for use on or near live electrical circuits, and it should only be used on the intended product.

Protection Without Killing Access

The whole point of an extended reach cordless ratchet is getting into spaces your hand and a standard tool do not fit. This boot keeps that advantage intact while adding a layer of protection for contact-heavy work around suspension, brake, and underbody components.

• Form-fitting design adds minimal size and weight to the tool
• Helps protect both the ratchet housing and surrounding work surfaces
• Designed for maintenance and automotive environments where tight clearances are normal

Made for Daily Shop Conditions

This is the kind of small accessory that makes sense when your ratchet sees oils, grease, solvents, and dirty service work every day. The flexible rubber material is easy to pull off for cleanup, but tough enough to stay useful instead of becoming a throwaway add-on.

• Durable proprietary rubber is built to withstand corrosive materials common in service work
• Flexible material allows quick install and removal
• Made specifically for the Milwaukee 3055-20 ratchet, not as a universal fit part
