Key Features

Cuts Tough Stuff When standard bi-metal hole saws give up, this kit keeps going. The carbide teeth are built for stainless steel, cast iron, fastener-embedded wood, cement board, fiberglass, plaster, asphalt shingles, and other hard-to-cut materials. Faster Hole Cutting The 3 TPI tooth design and deep gullets clear chips quickly, so the saw stays cutting instead of packing up. That means less time fighting heat and less time backing out to clean the cut. Complete Milwaukee Hole Saw Kit The Milwaukee 49-22-3097 15 PC HOLE DOZER with Carbide Teeth Hole Saw Kit gives you a useful spread of sizes, two arbors, extra pilot bits, and a case. It is set up for electricians, plumbers, remodelers, and general contractors who need one kit that covers a lot of work.

Overview

The Milwaukee 49-22-3097 15 PC HOLE DOZER with Carbide Teeth Hole Saw Kit is a carbide hole saw kit built for contractors and serious users who drill holes through a mix of wood, metal, cement board, and other abrasive materials. This is a hole saw kit designed for multipurpose hole cutting. Model Number: 49-22-3097. If your work regularly runs into material that kills ordinary bi-metal saws, this kit matters because it is built specifically for those tougher jobs.

Milwaukee uses a 3 teeth-per-inch design here, and that matters for one simple reason: speed without giving up durability. The tooth pattern is meant to keep the cut moving while the carbide teeth hold up in materials like stainless steel, cast iron, fastener-embedded wood, cement board, fiberglass, plaster, and asphalt shingles. On the job, that means fewer burned-up saws and fewer slow, frustrating cuts when the material changes layer to layer.

Another feature that makes this kit practical is the deep gullet design. Those gullets help clear chips and waste faster while you cut, which keeps the hole saw from loading up as quickly. Milwaukee also uses its ALL-ACCESS SLOTS design to make plug removal easier and improve pilot visibility. That is the kind of detail that saves time over a full day, especially when you are drilling multiple holes and do not want to stop after every cut to fight a stuck slug.

The 1-5/8 inch cutting depth gives this HOLE DOZER hole saw kit enough reach for a wide range of common trade materials. That extra depth helps when you are going through layered assemblies or thicker stock where shallow hole saws come up short. It also makes the kit more useful across service calls and punch-list work because you are not limited to one narrow material thickness.

This Milwaukee hole saw kit is set up as a real working kit, not just a loose assortment of cups. You get multiple carbide hole saw sizes, a large arbor with cobalt pilot bit, a small arbor with cobalt pilot bit, two additional pilot bits, a hex key, and a carrying case. That means you can cover a broad size range right out of the box and keep the whole setup organized in the truck or gang box.

For buyers comparing options, the big advantage here is where it sits between speed, durability, and material range. A basic bi-metal hole saw set may cost less up front, but it is not the right answer when you hit stainless, cast iron, nail-embedded wood, or abrasive board materials. This kit is for users who would rather buy once and stop chewing through consumables every time the job gets ugly.

The Milwaukee 49-22-3097 15 PC HOLE DOZER with Carbide Teeth Hole Saw Kit is a smart fit for electricians cutting box and conduit openings, plumbers boring pipe pass-throughs, remodelers working through mixed materials, and general contractors who never know exactly what is inside the wall until the cut starts. If you need a multipurpose hole saw kit that is built for hard use and awkward materials, this is the kind of set that earns its spot fast.

Pro Tip

Use the smallest arbor that matches the hole saw size you are running and keep a fresh pilot bit in the case. On mixed-material cuts, good pilot tracking and chip clearance matter just as much as the teeth if you want cleaner starts and less heat.
