Key Features

Seven Sizes, One Case This ZoomLock MAX press jaw kit covers 1/4" through 1-1/8" in seven jaws, so one case handles the common ACR tube and line set sizes on a refrigeration or HVAC install. No Torch, No Nitrogen Pressing replaces brazing, so there is no nitrogen purge, no combustible gas, and no silver solder to buy or haul to the job. One-Handed Pressing Spring-loaded, in-line jaws open easily and align to the fitting, which frees your other hand to hold the tube in tight spaces.

Overview

The Milwaukee 49-16-2662Z 1/4"- 1-1/8" ZoomLock MAX Press Jaw Kit for M18 FORCE LOGIC Press Tools is a seven-jaw press kit for HVAC and refrigeration technicians who want to make copper connections without a torch. These are press jaws designed for installing ZoomLock MAX press fittings on ACR tube and line sets in high-pressure HVAC and refrigeration systems. Model Number 49-16-2662Z includes jaws in 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", and 1-1/8", plus a ZoomLock MAX gauge and a carrying case.

Pressing is a flame-free alternative to brazing, and Milwaukee rates ZoomLock MAX connections as up to 60% faster than traditional brazed joints. The time savings come from what you skip: no nitrogen purge, no torch setup, no cooling time, and no silver solder. On a rooftop unit, in an occupied building, or anywhere hot work permits slow the job down, removing the flame removes a lot of hassle.

The jaws are built for Milwaukee press tools in the M18 FORCE LOGIC family. Their in-line design matches the tool's forward hand position, so the jaw reaches into tight chases, between joists, and around equipment cabinets where a pistol-grip tool would not fit. Spring loading holds the jaw open and helps it align square to the fitting, which makes one-handed pressing practical.

Milwaukee builds these jaws from durable steel for long service life. That matters on a press jaw, since every cycle puts the jaw under heavy load and a worn or damaged jaw can compromise the connection.

Buying the kit instead of individual jaws gets you every common ACR size up to 1-1/8" in one organized case. Line sets, suction and liquid lines, and refrigeration piping can all be pressed from one tool and one case. Pair the kit with the Milwaukee 2922-20 M18 FORCE LOGIC Press Tool with ONE-KEY if you do not already own a compatible press tool.

Who should buy it? HVAC installers, refrigeration technicians, and mechanical contractors who already run or plan to run M18 FORCE LOGIC press tools and want to move their copper work from brazing to pressing. If your crew runs the smaller M12 platform, Milwaukee makes a matching ZoomLock MAX jaw kit for M12 FORCE LOGIC press tools in the same size range.

Faster Connections Without the Flame

Brazing a joint means purging with nitrogen, heating, applying filler, and waiting for it to cool. A ZoomLock MAX press connection is made in one press cycle, which is where Milwaukee's rating of up to 60% faster installation comes from.

• No nitrogen purge, combustible gas, or silver solder required
• Rated for high-pressure HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Compatible with ACR tube and line sets

Reach Connections in Tight Spaces

The in-line jaw design keeps the tool and jaw on one axis, so you can press where your arm fits. Spring loading holds alignment on the fitting while you trigger the press.

• In-line design for access in chases and cabinets
• Spring-loaded for easy alignment to the fitting
• Durable steel construction
