Faster HVAC Connections This Milwaukee press jaw gives you a flame-free way to make ZoomLock MAX connections, with installation speeds up to 60% faster than brazing. That means less setup, less waiting, and more work done in a day. One-Handed Access The in-line, easy-open design makes the press jaw easier to position in tight mechanical spaces. When you are working around line sets and equipment cabinets, that extra access matters. Built for Repeated Pressing Durable forged steel jaws are made for daily use, while the spring-loaded design helps align the fitting quickly. You spend less time fighting placement and more time making clean, repeatable connections.

Overview

The Milwaukee 3/8 in. ZoomLock MAX Press Jaw for M12 FORCE LOGIC Press Tools is a dedicated press jaw accessory for making 3/8 inch ZoomLock MAX refrigerant press connections. This is a press jaw designed for high-pressure HVAC and refrigeration installation. Model Number: 49-16-2452Z. If you already run an M12 FORCE LOGIC press tool and want a faster alternative to brazing on compatible copper ACR tube and line set work, this is the attachment built for that job.

What makes this jaw worth buying is simple: it is set up specifically for ZoomLock MAX press fittings and 3/8 inch copper ACR applications. Instead of dragging out torches, dealing with nitrogen purges, and burning time on prep, this jaw lets the press tool handle the connection quickly and consistently. Milwaukee calls out up to 60% faster installations versus brazing, and for HVAC techs working service calls, retrofits, or new installs, that time savings adds up fast.

The design is job-focused. Milwaukee uses durable steel construction, with forged steel called out, because press jaws take repeated load cycles and need to hold shape over time. The in-line layout improves access when you are reaching into condensers, air handlers, or tight equipment corners where bulkier setups get awkward. The easy-open jaw design also helps with one-handed positioning, which is a real benefit when the other hand is steadying tubing or working around existing mechanicals.

Alignment is another place this jaw earns its keep. The spring-loaded mechanism helps guide the jaw onto the fitting faster and with less fumbling. On refrigeration work, where speed matters but so does connection consistency, that kind of detail helps reduce wasted motion. It is not just about pressing faster. It is about getting into place quickly, making the connection, and moving on without the usual brazing support gear.

From a safety and workflow standpoint, the big advantage is that this is a flame-free connection method. That means no open flame, no combustible gas setup, and no silver solder for the jointing process Milwaukee compares against. On occupied buildings, finished spaces, and service environments where hot work permits can slow a job down, a press system can be the difference between getting in and out efficiently or turning a small repair into a bigger production.

Compatibility is specific and important here. This jaw is optimized for Milwaukee M12 FORCE LOGIC Press Tools and is intended for ZoomLock MAX press fittings. It is also listed as compatible with ACR tube and line set applications and copper pipe material. In other words, this is not a general-purpose jaw you buy first and figure out later. You buy it when you know your system, fitting type, and tool platform already line up.

The size and weight also fit the intended use. At roughly 2.66 to 2.68 pounds, this is substantial enough to feel durable without becoming a burden as an attachment. The listed jaw size is 3/8 inch, and both the minimum and maximum compatible pipe diameter are shown as 0.375 inch in supplementary specifications, which reinforces that this is a dedicated single-size solution rather than a multi-range press jaw.

Who should buy it? HVAC and refrigeration pros using ZoomLock MAX fittings with an M12 FORCE LOGIC press tool. It also makes sense for contractors who want to reduce hot work, speed up copper ACR installs, and keep their press setup compact. If you are not on the Milwaukee M12 FORCE LOGIC platform or you are not working with ZoomLock MAX fittings, this is not the jaw to force into your setup. If you are, it is the right kind of specialized accessory: purpose-built, size-specific, and made to save real time on the job.
